I can live with Mike Holmgren the HC.

Mike Holmgren the GM? He can die in a fire. [Fucking Browns are laughing at you.]

I think there is a good chance were stuck with Toilet Bowles for awhile because Woody is too busy trying to play ambassador on behalf of the guy trying to play president but I wish there was some way this organization could sell everything to get Jim Harbaugh...

Harbaugh would be absolutely perfect for this job. We would have sound QB play for once, an identity that has been sorely missing and Harbaugh would troll the hell out of the NY media like Parcells used to. I don't think there is a guy on this planet more suited to be the head coach of the NY Jets than Harbaugh.

McDaniels deserves another chance. He was too young when he was in Denver and had too much power. The Teblow thing was a mistake for sure, he made a few of them there, but its a little unfair that that was his legacy. He should not have been picking rosters anyway.

And for every time people say he "was the guy who drafted Teblow" he was also the guy who made some ballsy moves that were pretty savvy. He recognized the poison that Jay Cutler was and got rid of him right away. Something that people almost 10 years later are still struggling with but especially ballsy when Cutler was a young QB in his prime when McDaniels got there.

He also did something that more coaches should've done over the years and that is he benched Brandon Marshall when Marshall was being a major bitch. Maybe Toilet Bowles should've tried that last year.

I think McDaniels will become a good head coach again somewhere now that he is more experienced on the field and off the field in terms of trusting other members of the staff and front office. If Woody wanted to pry him away from NE someday, I'd be in support of it. Lots of coaches fail their first go round and succeed elsewhere

I agree that sometimes HC's fail in their first go-arounds. McDaniels strikes me as a being a good candidate for having a good second stint. Problem is would he come here and be looked upon by Belichek as a traitor, or a second Mangini?

We need a President of Football Ops to hire a GM who can then hire his HC who then would hire a staff that knows how to develop a Qb.

Sure did I watched the one where Tebow beat the Jets. Maybe you should be asking yourself these questions.

Like a younger version of Bill Parcells.

Speaking of Tebow, Dan Mullen is arguably the hottest name of offensive-minded coaches and he's had a part in Alex Smith, Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott. If Nick Fitzgerald shows improvement through the air this collegiate season, expect him to get some calls.

Parcels is the reason why the Jets didn't draft Peyton Manning.

We need to leave these Parcell and Belichick coaching trees alone.

I don't fault Bill for that. He had the #1 pick and of course would not make a promise to the Mannings. He could have done a Jimmy Johnson type trade and really built the Jets. No coach or GM would make that decision before the draft. They wait till the actal draft day to leverage more.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. That is simply laughable. Parcells traded down twice and passed on 2 HOF LTs. He was horrible shopping for the groceries and his ego wrote checks his ass couldn't cash. He totally should have guaranteed the Mannings he was gonna take Peyton and been doing cartwheels that he was going to get to draft a real QB. Knowing Parcells, however, and that he wasn't in it for the long haul, the arrogant bastard probably would have traded the pick and picked a bunch more busts.

The Jets needed a QB. We hadn't had a decent one since Kenny O'Brien. You don't trade away a chance to get one of the best QB prospects to ever come out of college. That would have been mind-numbingly stupid. Eff Parcells.

What are your thoughts about Holmgren as President of Football Operations? Let him create a vision and timetable for the team, develop the culture/identity of the team, run the team, hire the next GM, who would in turn hire the next HC, and the GM would report to him, rather than Woody. Holmgren would answer to Woody.

Ken O'Brien sucked and him being late throwing the ball got Al Toon almost killed. He still suffers from concussion syndrome today. KOB human statute. I think we had a good QB in Chad Pennington.

I already told you what I think. Even the Browns - Yes, the FUCKING BROWNS - are laughing at ANYONE entertaining the idiocy of Holmgren the GM. [2010~2012]

No, you didn't. If you actually carefully read what I asked, it was about Holmgren as TEAM PRESIDENT, NOT GM!!! I know he sucked as GM (running the draft, I don't know or care about how he did negotiating contracts and the cap), and I read your post. Since I quoted your post, why in the hell would I ask you what you had just said. I even clearly delineated that as team President, Holmgren would hire the GM, and his other responsibilities.

Pennington was a good QB, but he was drafted wait for it...AFTER Parcells should have drafted Manning. But of course, if you had thought before responding, you would know that.

If he can't handle GM responsibility, how can he handle team president?
