Chad's mistake was not protecting the ball in the scoring zone. Sure, we all want the TD, but it's incumbent upon him to remember "bal security" first. You can't give away points the way he did on both those throws.

You can absolutely blame Pennington. He made 2 uncharacteristically stupid passes that killed two scoring drives, and in the second half he was unable to hit the open reciever right up until the last play of the game.

I'm not saying that we should cut Pennington and start Clemens or anything, just that he sucked it up and needs to put out a better effort if the Jets are gonna win games against good teams. Like he did last week against New England.

Without Chad we would most likely be 0-10. Yes he made two bad decisons today but sometime things do not go your way no matter how well you play. The effort by the the entire team today was outstanding. A few bounces our way and it could have been a blowout in our favor. There is a lot about todays game to be excited about. IMO it was our 2nd best game of the year. We might not have won but we played well on both sides of the ball and we played with a lot of effort. I can live with a loss where we play as well and as hard as we did today. I look on todays game as a game we can build on. Two wins against Houston and GB and this loss will be long forgotten.

the defense played well, ditto the o-line and backs, receivers. :shit: :eek:hmy:

with a 21.1 rating at cleveland and a 42.8 today, this winnable game was lost strictly at the qb position, by lousy play. get the duck-throwere out of there, and put anybody with a real nfl-quality arm in there instead.

no! in fact, had ramsey or bollinger played that badly, all the pennyphiles cult members would have flooded the board with trade/cut/bench them posts.

but, the franchise/duck-thrower always gets a free pass.....:shit:

No, but that is still no defense for Chad. All that says is he sucks the least. I'm sick of his current play, and sick of him coming up small against good defenses, but he is still our best option. Just because no one on the bench would be an improvement, doesn't mean he is blameless.

Bottom line is everybody else on the team did their part. The running game was there, the D was there, he had protection, the receivers got open multiple times but he threw horrible passes with little to no pressure on him. He flat out laid an egg today and cost the game. There really is no way around it.

Chad had a bad game today and it cost us. Lets face the facts Jets fans. The Jets are 5-5 and control their own destiny playoff wise. I'm happy with the Jets record right now. I don't care what any of you say. Yeah we lost close games with Indy and Chicago. We as fans can say If as much as we want. It doesn't matter. Time to focus on Houston.

no one knew what houston or cotch could do until they got a chance to play!!!!

to say that we would have done worse today or in clevland with someone else is stupid.

put frye at qb in cleveland or grossman at qb today for the jets, and they have two wins instead of two losses.

with noddle arm at qb, we have a better chance of finishing behind buffalo and/or miami than we do of making the playoffs. that's really sad.

Thank you thank you thank you, exactly what needed to be said. I don't think people actually read the posts to interpret them, they see some words and assume a point, then argue that point they have decided to assume...a criticism of Chad does not mean someone thinks he shouldn't satrt, t is simply a criticism.

If Vilma misses an easy tackle and I call him on it, I am not saying Schlegel is better, and just because the 3rd and 10 draw today was a stupid call, I don't think B-Schott should be fired....get it people?

At 5-5 you dont bench your starting QB...especially if he is known not to have 2 bad games in a row. If we were 3-7 then i would probly wanna give ramsy a shot. Just cause we lost to the Bears doesnt mean our season is over. After next week we have a good chance to be within 1 game of the AFC east. I dont see the Pats playing that great against Chicago, and hopefully we'll be fired up. How about you be a little supportive for once

Chad didn't play well. Is he the only reason we lost? No, but he didn't do a good job.

He's still the best QB we have, and he should still be starting, but let's not deny he made poor decisions and poor throws today.

8 other teams have lost to the Bears worse than we did, and many pf them would still be favoured against us. We stood tall today, and should have won, or at least scored when given the opportunities...it didn't happen...so now its time to win 6 straight!

Throw a Cover-2 defense on him and he's toast. Jacksonville has PROVEN that is the key to beating him. A dominant front 4 and speed on the back 7, everywhere. He just can't break a Cover-2 Zone, it sucks.

Well He completed to longer passes today and really I don't think that he was given alot of opportunities today. In the 4th quarter he sailed one that would have been another nice long one down the seam. I do understand what you are saying though....Chad's deep passes are almost always between the numbers, we rarely see him throw to a WRs outside shoulder away from the safety is the pass is over 30 yards which is too bad because those are some of the easiest catches for WRs.....even today on the long incompletion to Jerricho, he threw to the inside shoulder and the rookie CD knocked it away....ah well

He's got a point this time. It would be nice if Chad would take over a game himself as the "leader" of this team. I really hope we bring in someone better next year.
