My mistake. It was a regular season game. Still, a game the Jets should've won, given that Tebow was "terrible", but somehow he beat the Jets.
The line blocked much better when Beachum and Johnson were put in, this weeks game will be a better indication of their ability to establish the run. What we need is an over and under on which OL gets hurt before the midway point in the season. TB on the other hand, that's just a totally different conversation.
The O-line was the worst thing against the Lions. We are in real trouble here. Hack sucked but if we had any resemblance of pass or run blocking, maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. Until we get an above average line, each of our QB's are gonna be terrible. Just like I've said before, QB's are important, but a good line is most important. Without our line being good, scoring points is gonna be very hard to come by. It wouldn't matter who our QB is. Marino, Montana, etc..... A young QB doesn't have a chance without a run game, or pass blocking. The first sack Hack took, should show everyone that he isn't so cerebral like his supporters claim. He couldn't even identify the blitz pre snap, so I think it's an even bet he isn't this super smart QB like his jock supporters believe. I believe we wasted a 2nd round pick on a much bigger project than his supporters believed initially. He will not develope in New York. He is too big of a project for what we have to develope him, if he can be fixed. Let Petty get a hold on the keys to drive the bus. He is also a project but not near Hack. Drafting Hack in the 2nd was a joke. A big fat Mac mistake. I really hate to say this but Nacho may ending better. Worst part is, our 1st string line played most of the first half. Detroit's D-line dominated our Swiss cheese blocking. At least our defense will be fun to watch. Maybe some of our D-linemen would be willing to play on the other side of the ball. Lol
