Ugh darrol ray.......man those jet defensive backfields of the late 70's early/mid 80's were very frustrating at times. Opportunistic but not consistent at all. No real stars back there and with the pass rush they had, one would think they would have been more effective. AFC east really didn't have a slinger (ferguson maybe)either until marino came along.
Thanks for the info. Can't say I blame Charity for her attitude. Do you? I think Brad Smith ran back a couple of KOs for TDs, but still, it's been a good while.
I get the whole compiler argument and that he basically spent his life tripping into the EZ, but I absolutely refuse to crap on Curtis Martin. It's like spitting on your own floor. He didn't really care about football at all, but it saved him from a life of crime. His mother wasn't even nice to him at times because of stress, and if you read some of those interviews, they're heartbreaking. He just wanted to take care of her, that was his motivation. As much as I puke on Parcells (and it pains me a little that Martin was a Cheat), I can understand why he has gratitude towards him. Hah, who remembers Martin's first game as a Jet? I was there, what else?! Parcells gave him the ball three times from the 3 or something and he didn't get in. Welcome to the Jets, the land of fukkedupness! People can fight me all they want on CM, but I will ALWAYS wish him well. He was a great Jet, and from me to him? A big, fat thank you. 1,697. I should play those numbers. EDIT & P.S.: I was never a fan of the pickle pants, but it's a great shot:
those bengals helmets make me laugh. Its like they couldn't come up with anything except "we're not the browns." They should've put that on the helmet
Holy crap, we are going to be so bad this year that the Jets won't even be on TV tonight and it's the only game on at 7:30. But we get to have the Dallas/St. Louis game on, a game no one wants to watch. We've already seen Dallas play live once. What a load of bullshit the NFL's TV map is.
I thought it was on CBS. Of course, each region's CBS affiliates can decide which game they want to show, and my local CBS affiliate has hated the Jets for years, it almost never shows them.
#26, Lester Lyles. Funny, because when I tried to get a photo, I kept getting pics of that badass U.S. Airforce General. Probably made better tackles, too.
My all time favourite Jet (only going on players I actually saw), narrowly beating Wayne Chrebet into second place. I always wear my No. 28 jersey to the London games with pride. No-one at Wembley will be wearing the jersey of a more classy individual.
For Dockery. : ) "Before going mountain bike riding, it's a good idea to leave your valuables at home. Your testicles, for example" - JD
