I think its entirely possible now with Enunwa gone for the season...the only one happy is Rich Kotite because after this year he could be off the hook
I went into this year thinking this was a 4-6 win team, but after both the Enunwa injury and reports out of camp that our Oline is a sieve I think 0-16 is a distinct possibility. The offense is going to be brutal and the defense is talented, but extremely young and inexperienced. They are also going to worn down by an inept offense.
how things change....bean pole Anderson that no one thought would survive TC last year let alone make the team is now our #1 best WR.
The defense will win at least one game- to much talent on that side of the ball. As I mentioned in another thread- this offense is horrendous. The only way this offense could somehow be subpar is both our backs having a great year- no turnovers from the QB position, ASJ living up to his draft potential, and Robby Anderson taking another leap. If somehow all of these things happen- our offense will just be subpar- which is very sad to think about. For our offense to be elite- Hackenberg takes control- and shows flashes of stardom(One can wish!)
Let's see: Odds are we don't have a decent QB on the roster. Our #1 wide receiver is...Robbie Anderson lol Our o-line can't block to save their lives. Our RBs are okay. And our TE group is a mix of someone who may or may not have become decent and a rookie and I'm sure there's someone else on the roster but not good enough to know who. We have a competition for kicker (Though it seems Ross Martin is the clear choice. Still not thrilling.) Super inconsistent punter. D-line is an insane asylum. DBs are two rookies, Burris (who I think will be good), and Claiborne is good...when healthy. LBs are very questionable. 0 wins has become a very big possibility. On the bright side, we have a ton of young talent who seem very promising. I think we can be very competitive by 2019.
There is a very real chance that the Jets start 4-1 with the way the schedule is setup. More likely 3-2, but I think that would be enough to give this young team some confidence.
I'll put it this way... Before today, I was planning on rooting for wins the first couple weeks, and if they started either 0-2 or 1-3 I was shifting into tank mode. Now, I'm actively rooting against them starting now. Spare me all the lectures from the "good fans" out there. You can't convince me this team doesn't need the #1 pick.
No its not possible they go 16-0 so that is nonsense. And no it is not possible that they win 8 games. I am not sure you should post here since you have clearly never watched a down of football.
No way , Derwin James is our pick. Just think with James, Adams ,and Maye...... Our safeties will be the NFLs best for a decade.
I see 0-3 to start with the best chance for a win coming in week 4 vs Jacksonville.(If we can contain Fournett and Bortles doesn't play well) I don't think we beat the Browns this season. There O Line should match up well against our D line and they have a better roster.(sadly). Remember, we are likely to be without Anderson due to pending suspension to start the Marshall is suspended to start the year if he makes the roster. Hard to win 4 games when the playbook is run, run, run, punt. Of course the young Defenes will have more opportunities to score being on the field for 90% of the snaps. After that it's hope for a home win vs the Bills week 9. Or maybe the Pat's sit all their starters week 17 to screw us out of the first pick. ( A very Belichick thing to do) This season was never about wins and losses, unfortunately we won't get to see if Enunwa could take the big step one of the big questions for this season I ,and I believe most fans were looking forward to finding out the answer to.
