I've been seeing 13 episodes. Read an article (on phone now I'll post it later today) about how the HBO producers only want 75 hours max of show time but the ideal number is 73 that they came up with. 7 in season 7 and 6 in season 8
I read that too. 13 more episodes, though I think they were hinting that the scale of what they were planning was the main limiting factor. I took it to mean epic on a grand scale that was going to take lots of budget and production time.
My money is on them both being dead. And Tyrion is king. In the books, his queen would probably be Sansa, but I barely remember their interactions in the show so who knows.
They also cast a little fat guy as Robert Baratheon. The Stag was impotent in season 1. Amazing how he killed the greatest warrior in the land in even battle. Martin is a bitch. For some reason it took me this long to realize that the first time he started going by "George R R Martin" instead of his normal credits name of "George Martin" was when he started writing these books. What a douche. But it kind of explains why he's doing all of these side stories and anthologies. He so wishes he could be recognized as the new Tolkien.
That's horrible. If they really want to end the show quickly(which makes no sense considering it's a cash cow), make next season the last one. No reason to have a 6 episode season, just make it 10 good ones.
Discussion in my office today: If you had to pick ONE quote from the series as your absolute favorite, which would it be?
Everyone hates Joffrey, and rightfully so, but he had my favorite quote on the show: "My father won the real war. He killed Prince Rhaegar. He took the crown while you hid under Casterly Rock!" - Joffrey
“The Lord of Light wants his enemies burned, the Drowned God wants them drowned. Why are all the gods such vicious c--ts? Where’s the god of t--s and wine?”
Yep. And had my favorite line by Jon Snow: "There's no time for that". My biggest pet peeve is all the sex and nudity on the show. Obviously people love it and some scenes are great, but many take me out of the story. I'm like do they not realize what is going on around them? Nice to see at least Jon Snow does. As for the rest of the episode, agreed it was fantastic. Every episode should be from now until the series finale. Stakes are so high.
I think Jamie will survive and his fate will be resolved between Cersei and him. He may kill her or she may kill him.
