James Farrior LB #58, 1997-2001. 1st round pick in 1997 draft. Badway let him go too soon. Went to Pittsburgh, was a star. ^^ there were lots of photos out there of Farrior to choose from but any photo of Marino getting knocked down gets moved to the top of the list!!!
I don't know that I'd say that Farrior was a "star" in Pittsburgh, but he was definitely a better player for them than for us. If he had stayed here, I'm not sure he would have developed and gotten any better either.
ten years as a starter in the middle of the defense missing only 2 games, two pro bowl appearances, the anchor mike backer and 8 year team captain for a defense that won 2 SBs.... I'd say that qualifies him as a star.
Agree......and the jets just went about their 4-3 cover 2 business. Had the personnel already on the roster for a nasty 3-4. Realize u can't keep everyone but IMO farrior should have been taken care of.
That's fine, but I disagree. I have higher standards for what makes a player a "star." If he was all that, he should have made more than 2 pro bowl appearances and should have been an MVP selection at least once or twice and been a perennial All Pro.
I'd say that Farrior was better than Harris, but not by a great deal. Harris was certainly no star imo.
John Abraham. 2000-2005. He wore number 56 for a bit. He was a real bitch but we havent had a pass rusher like him since
I thought he was a solid player for us...just as good as he was w. Pittsburgh. The issue he had w. us was staying healthy. He was never worth the #8 pick which we traded down from first overall for. Would've been better off w. Orlando Pace.
