I like every single move they have made: 1) Dump Girardi 2) Trade Stepan for a Top 10 Pick and a NHL caliber defenseman (I would have taken a pair of skates, a stick, and a used practice whistle) 3) Draft TWO centers with your first two picks (!!!!!) 4) Sign Shattenkirk 5) Resign Smith 6) Resign Fast Except of the uncertainty in the back-up goal position, how can next year not be better than this year with these moves?

Don't know about that one, every trade Gorton has made has been held close to the vest with no leaks until it was announced. Lots of teams will want Bozak I think the price is probably going to be too high The best thing and most miraculous thing Gorts could do right now is trade Staal
so they didn't buyout Staal, next buyout window is in June I didn't think Gorts would do it this year if at all. Problem is that AV will use him
current Staal contract is 5.7 million each year for the next 4 seasons with a buyout the Rangers would have owed 2.1 / 2.1 / 3.1 / 3.9 / 1.4 / 1.4 / 1.4 / 1.4 in dead cap space if they buy out next year they will owe 2.1 / 3.1 / 3.9 / 1.3 / 1.3 / 1.3
