no center ever could get out and pull on the toss sweep like mawae. as hard as it has been finding a qb and a pass rusher, the nyj have been pretty fortunate at the center position.
I love Randy Rasmussen. Met him once, very sweet person. I saw Namath play many times, but after that ship sailed, I used to be thrilled when Randy took the field. Super Bowl III holdover that played until he was 101 years old. I miss the old radio announcing with John Dockery, too. Sigh.
It was just a painful memory for the most part. He was up on the podium explaining away why the Jets were always losing - on a weekly basis. Good God, those pressers. Second year Mangini, wasn't Kendall the team mouthpiece at one point? Then he got sent to sleep in the rookie dorms over a contract dispute. Can't wait until we get to Riggins. : )
