holy bat thermal underwear I know here to find maps and computer models for this part of the world but I would not have a clue as to where to find weather models for that part of the world,,,,,kudos to you FJF lol------Brook be safe in your travels buddy.
Thanks CBG. If I can get permission ,I might post some pics later. I didn't want to start a thread but if you have some nice words for these orphans, I will be glad to carry your messages.
http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-...&VAR=tmp2&HH=372&ARCHIV=0&ZOOM=0&PERIOD=&WMO= hey brook, its going to be hot and dry. i lived in florida and spent an august in nevada, just outside of reno but i don't remember ever being as hot as i was on the flight deck sitting in the persian gulf. every time i walked up there i thought i would be the guy from raiders of the lost ark
You don't need to look them up. It does not rain at all in June and July in Syria/Iraq. It'll be 120F/50C during the day (at least in Iraq). It's a dry heat.
looks like the start of the 4th of July weekend is a hot one,,,Friday and Saturday look to be around 90,,,,,
LOL. Yes... Baghdad is averaging 115-120F (46-49C). Sunny. Dry as fuck. Syria is tougher for me to say. If you are in an area closer to Iraq, 110F each day. If you are closer to Lebanon, low 100s. Also sunny, also dry as fuck. It's the desert in the summer.
Will be in Syria Saturday morning Syria time. Kobane is the name of the town. In Iraq, I will be in Zakho on Monday morning. Weather report please.
Thanks CBG My flight takes off tonight at 11:55 PM. It will be an exciting 4-5 days for me. I hope everything goes well. If it doesn't, well I will die before seeing a Jets Superbowl.
UGH---LOOKS LIKE Saturday could suck weather wise,,,might get some dry weather in early but as the day goes on looks like T storms,,,,,I canceled the festivities at my house on Saturday and told everyone to come Sunday,,,,,that looks like a pretty nice day
good call c, very unstable through tomorrow. low pressure north of us dragging lines of thunderstorms through . should be clear by sunday morning
FJ , hopefully it clears out real early Sunday and we get a good run thru Wednesday morning,,,,but I am a little concerned about Tuesday nite the 4th,,,local weather guys said nothing but I saw some models were calling for rain ,,,,what do u think ?
You ain't kiddin. Just put 2g's worth of landscaping into the yard and this mini-drought hasn't helped one bit. Actually using my own water daily to keep the green going.
i think we are in for nice 3-4 days, thursday looks to be an issue, which isn't good for me. suppose to be camping trackside at a race in p.a. thursday through sunday. but tomorrow, clearing early a.m., the 4th looks good too.
We were dry for a few days but had a torrential downpour last night that lasted several hours. Hasn't rained that hard in awhile. Went from worrying about the garden to worry about whether the flowers are going to stand back up again at some point after they got knocked about last night.
