I'd give Thornton a one year deal, similar to the Shannahan situation years ago.

 

that's a funny take on it because IMO Holden looked terrible because he was paired with Staal. Put him with Mac and he's a completely different player

 

I saw Holden fall on his ass, and be beaten like a mule several times in the playoffs. I do nto recall seeing that happen to Staal.

 

he might be a bust but I think he needs a chance on a competent pairing and with the new D coach

Thornton is the same age as Phil Esposito, how about Sam Gagner, C, right handed shot, 50 points, 8 PP goals, 27 years old?

This kid Kovacs in the Rangers farm system was drag racing 120mph in Sweden this week with his friend, the friend plowed into a turning car and died. Some people want to get him in jail and banned from the US

 

All teams will kick the tires on this one but I haven't heard the Rangers specifically wanting to pursue him. We already have tons of right wingers and the guy is 36. I'd say only if the price is really really good only because the guy is clutch and a locker room leader and has physical presence (ANYBODY over Tanner Glass is an upgrade)
