Makes sense with all the suspensions/incidents we've had this offseason. He's definitely showing them the way.
Pretty much needs to re-establish his stock in order to get a big pay-day. Good for him. Still a sham cause Mo on 1 leg, had more sacks then Sheldon.
It's a contract year for him, he has a negative history off the field, he doesn't have much to show lately on the field or on the stat sheet. The man's making a business decision to stay relevant where he can.
Some players (and men) truly learn from the mistakes that they've made in life. It's now been two years since Sheldon's (one) arrest and he's yet to have been in any off the field trouble ever since. He's not some type of Aldon Smith or Pacman Jones repeat offender with a multitude of arrest's so thus far I'm very proud of Richardson (the man) for staying out of trouble, off the field, for going on two years now. Not to make any excuses but Richardson stated himself that at the time of his arrest his childhood friend had just passed away and Sheldon himself fell into a depression and his arrest was a wake up call for himself personally. Love hearing players such as Leonard Williams stating how focused Richardson is right now.
Oh yeah, Sheldon is a real leader. This has nothing to do with a potential contract he is getting this offseason. No, he is a great guy and leader. This is all because of his love of the game and his teammates and the New York Jets! Not sure how he hasn't been traded yet. Oh wait I do, because most teams view him like I do.
Agree, he is immature and it shows every time he opens his mouth. As far as leadership that is LOL funny because he has shown during his tenure that he is anything but...
Sheldon reminds me of a player who the minute he signs his mega deal, he'll push away from the table, stand up, and head straight to a 'scrip club' in a Rolls going a buck 40 with with the strong smell of weed and a loaded 357 under his seat. God bless him!
Funny a lot of folks weren't saying this when he almost ran down Peterson to save a TD vs the Vikijgs but proceed with your great thread
Nobody is denying the man has athletic ability. It's his maturity that's in question. And this 'leader' guise he seems to be trying out is so conveniently timed anybody would look askance at it. I'm not convinced, but I'll still root for him to play well on the field.
Wrong. Richardson played 618 of his 736 total snaps (84 percent) as a defensive lineman in 2016, logging only 87 snaps (12 percent) as a linebacker. http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-j...myths-surrounding-the-jets-sheldon-richardson
This the same guy that stood in front of the locker room and apologized and said never again,,,,that same afternoon story broke on him of another stupid incident ? That guy ? Same guy that is in a contract year ? oh yeah that guy . People can change but I gotta see a lot more than this to be a believer .
They had him listed at LB in the 2nd half of the season until the end I believe. Either way he played well last year. Mo was garbage, and he certainly didn't play on "one leg". Not that sack numbers mean anything. He almost out-sacked Leonard, as well. McLendon even had 3.5, Deon had 1.5. They don't mean anything.
At the end of the day, it's about the % of plays from a certain position. Actually, Mo was coming off a broken leg and wasn't full healthy yet. You aren't good at this. I recommend you continue to take reporters' tweets about TC and report them in a thread plz.
