Not a GS fan, but you have to respect the grit and determination they play with... It is exactly how you would want your team to play. No quit at all.
Good game. Now we can return to our regularly scheduled blowout for game 4. Let the media hysteria to tear down LeBron begin.
Cleveland fans like to talk about GS blowing 3-1 last year. Impressive effort by Cleveland to blow the lead and lose by 5 there. Virtually every Cleveland possession in the final few minutes was a bad one. Stand around, waste clock, and either turn it over or throw up a wild shot.
if Love got going they would have won the game. Oh well. GS will be back again next year and will probably win again..
There's no hysteria, the guy does promote himself as the greatest. Nobody is arguing that he's not an all-time talent. But Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant tired as they are make those shots with the game on the line or draw the fouls, just sayin' And it has to be said that LeBron has full control of the team, he's the one who wanted a lapdog patsy of a coach who's not in the same league as Kerr and can't properly strategize
This is as good as the Cavs will get on paper. Pretty bad moves to go out, trade for Love and sign Tristian Thompson to that awful extension. TT is barely getting ANY rebounds and brings no value to the offense. Love is so overrated. Should've kept Wiggins as another solid scorer / defensive player to take on either Curry, Thompson or Durant. Also would've had plenty of cap space.
Agreed, 2 reactionary moves. They would have had Wiggins on the cheap and could have signed other impact players. But, they most likely don't win a championship last year if that happens.
Did Love actually do anything last year, same with TT? I think with Wiggins and whatever cap space they use to get a player(s), they still win that series cause Lebron and Irving were both going crazy in games 5 to 7. More than likely they retain Delly too, who was really good defending Curry at times.
You do know the Cavs won the NBA championship with Love and Thompson, right? those moves worked. Holy shit, they are going to lose this year to what could be considered the greatest team in history if they sweep, that in no way reflects negatively on signing Love and Thompson. Nobody is beating this Warriors team.
I mean, yea Love and TT did a lot. Tristen was huge in their home games last year and Love did a lot of good things and was key in game 7... A hell of a lot more than Delly.... You really think that a benefit of those 2 guys not signing would be retaining Delly? I am not sure there is 1 rational argument that can be made for that. You went from decent point to hating pretty quick.
That wasn't my point. My point is that, the Cavs could've won last year without Love and TT and with Wiggins and other bigs on a lower price tag instead. This year is a different beast, but I don't think they would be down 3-0 if they kept Wiggins, Delly and got some better front-court help. Specifically someone that can score in the post. Imagine a Millsap on the Cavs?
I thought Delly was a very solid defensive point guard no? I mean you got Lebron guarding Durant, and Irving on Curry. Don't you think if they have a Wiggins and Delly, that Lebron and Irving could focus more on scoring and they wouldn't be so burnt out at the end of the games? Especially Lebron who has been absolutely winded in the 4th qtrs. It's not just Delly and Wiggins, but think of other players they could've signed.
Whatever dude, my points are absolutely valid. TT hasn't done jack shit this entire series and makes what in terms of $$$? This team has reached it's ceiling. They could've won last year IMO with a Wiggins, and 2 other impact players that took up TT's crazy contract. With better defensive players they would've won last night to save themselves a sweep.
Your argument is fantasy. I could conveniently argue without Love and Thompson they lose to Boston. All that matters is the facts of what is, not what you can conveniently contrive to support your hypothetical.
