Your first sentence is painstakingly dumb. I wanted to stop there but for some reason I kept going. I should have stopped. Let's leave it at that you don't know what you're talking about because it is absolutely not the same thing as cutting Pryor.

I just don't think he's a even a good player. He was smashed in the box all year long. Everyone is not going to be out in a pattern or running to the outside. Sometimes they will run straight at him and that is his weakness. Teams will exploit this Ohio State guy (also I am not a fan of Jets taking players from there, we have a tragic history with that school). Heck he even lost a fight to some lesbians in a bar after the season. Maybe we should get her a tryout LOL. But we will see if he takes a step forward this year but I'm thinking not because Bowles is hovering around. Maybe the next head coach can get something out of this guy to justify his lofty draft status.

That's what happens when you hire defensive head coaches. They force their GM's to makes these picks and totally neglect the other side of team. Maccagnan is lazy and selling the fan on BPA crap is still making the Jets lopsided. That is what Tannenbaum did, Idzik and now Macc has done. The list of WR after Pryor was taken could fit pretty well into the BPA category.

Trouble is you need some ruffians on your team. Cannot have a bunch of pussies trying to play ball on Sunday. Its delusional thinking you will have a locker room full of church goers.

the only 2 offense players we took in the 1st 2 rounds have been busts too. hill and smith. I fucked up, i wanted hill. smith I didn't. I was hoping for DGB. never understood the smith pick personally. Still we haven't drafted an offensive player in the 1st round since sanhcez and only 3 times in the 2nd round (smith, hill, ducasse) all busts. You can' build an offense when 95% of your picks in the 1st 2 rounds are on defense.

we call that the ray lewis theory. dude was an ass and an alleged murderer but he elevated the play of everyone around him. Bill romanoski was the same way. sometimes you need that 1 dick on defense. you just need a good group of guys to keep him in check at times

The Raiders had a gang of them, Tatum, Upshaw, Atkinson, Alzado.

We could have cut Pryor too. He wasn't making that much. But they won't cut Davis this is the kind of trade where you ask for a certain player. That is really the most distubing part of this deal.

I actually like the move in bringing back DD. he's cheap at only 3.8 mil for 1 year. he's be a good backup for harris and lee. it's not often you can get depth for under 4 mil from a player who has started the past 3 seasons. and he's only 28. If he has a good year he can be brought back on a decent deal to start in place of harris who will likely retire after this season. Pryor had no place on this team. his attitude was shit, he couldnt' cover and he blew assignments. he had 1 good quality of being an enforcer in the box and good against the run but adams was drafted for that same role.

LOL I would take that winning they enjoyed anyday over the misery we have had for almost 50 years. Look at how many great plays that are associated with the Raiders. Ghost to the Post, Sea of Hands, The Holy Roller, The Emmaculate Reception.

According to my buddy who's a college football junkie he said the Jets got 2 of the 3 best safety's in the draft...the other being Hooker, of course.

We have Carter too and he's better in coverge than any inside linebacker on the roster right now.

I just remember screaming at the TV, why the hell didn't we draft Brandin Cooks. We so desperately needed a receiver. And I had Clinton-Dix over Pryor anyway. Pryor was such a silly reach.

Yea he had some nice hits but did nothing else well

I honestly am hoping they turn it around but it seems like an impossible task for them to stay on when your dealing with the NY media coming off another disaster of a season. If there's no major progress Bowles is gone for sure ,Mac has followed the trend of previous regimes by not getting any production out of second round picks.Maybe this is the year a second round pick steps up

I barely even remember the hits .. I was thinking Pryor was gonna be laying people out like Ronnie Lott. Just getting him out the lockerroom was enough for me .. once you become a distraction it's game over. Richardson is on very thin ice atm but unlike Pryor he actually has on-field value.

How is a third round pick becoming a yearly starter a bust?

Your fan base is actually going nuts over Calvin Pryor.

I went over to a Cleveland Browns forum earlier (just to see fan reaction), and i couldn't stop laughing while reading. Multiple fans were posting highlights of his Louisville days, taking quotes of Mike Mayock talking up Pryor while coming out, reading off his scouting report strengths from 2014, considering him a proven/quality Safety with starting experience etc and all of these posts were coming from separate individuals posting throughout the Calvin Pryor thread.

I believe the forum name was something like "Barking Loud". It made for good laughter though.
