The thing I loved about Terry Bradway were the press leaks that "somebody in the Jets camp wanted Russell Wilson but they went with Geno." Bradway was given credit for being being the lone voice of reason in otherwise terrible Jets drafts. I am sure it is one of the reasons he stayed around so long. What a crock that guy was.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid strikes again. Someone be needs to manufacture the world's biggest tampon already.
Does anybody know what position Darron Lee is going to play this year? I seen him line up at OLB at times last year... which was annoying.. He should be in the middle as a hybrid LB... making plays in the middle of the field.. Let Harris be the run stopper.
Bowles said in one of the OTA press conferences that he doesn't see Lee developing into a MIC LB, ever. Said he's more of a weak side lb. I thought he was supposed to be the heir apparent for Harris but apparently TB doesn't think so. Makes a lot more sense to bring Davis back with that context.
Wow...thank you for that piece of info. Shocked the media hasn't caught on to this. Too wrapped up on fussing over every time Hack wipes his brow. I'll give Bowles credit for at least recognizing it wasn't working. Lee is far from useless however. He could be a WLB in a 4-3, perhaps the hybrid Deon Buchanon & I actually think he can play some weak side OLB in a 3-4.He doesn't have great length but he compensates by being very smooth around the edge, good lateral movement & able to fast ball oncoming blockers to set the edge in running situations.I think he has tools to be a very good edge rusher..much better than people think
Hope so... he's so small it's like a hit or miss with him getting by O-Tackles... Also somebody else will be getting left out if this is the case... wonder if its Mauldin or Jenkins.
Well if Lee isn't playing the Mike that changes everything. Suddenly Davis could indeed be penciled in next to Harris...who else is gonna start?Julian Stanford maybe..? Same can be said if we move to a 4-3 under. In fact one could argue that Davis would start over Harris in that scenario.
I love Harris and everything he's done for us but he's not exactly one that belongs with a YOUTH movement.. we're getting younger and faster, he's the exact opposite. I was surprised he made it pass the cuts we were handing out... especially since we can let him go with no cap penalty. Guess they want him to mentor the youngins
~5:25 point he starts talking about Lee, ~6:15 is the comment about him playing mike. http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/v...s_Week_2/e0dd02ec-9405-4094-9091-171c561c834b
