Little brother syndrome. Boston will always feel inferior to New York and needs things like this for it's fragile little ego. As an outsider it's quite apparent and rather entertaining.

Here's the entirety of the "news" article. I'll paste it here so there's no need to give that shitty website any additional clicks.

While the New England Patriots find themselves projected comfortably atop the AFC East again entering the 2017 season, the New York Jets also are in a familiar position: drawing guffaws from fellow NFL teams.

The Jets only have Christian Hackenberg, Bryce Petty and 37-year-old Josh McCown at quarterback as they prepare for the 2017 season. That situation reportedly has some scouts laughing. “Several scouts with whom I recently spoke chuckled at the thought of the Jets’ quarterback situation,” Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman wrote Wednesday.

One scout even said it was the worst quarterback corps he’s ever seen. It’s tough to argue with that bold statement. McCown has never played a full 16-game season and has suffered multiple injuries in each of the last three years.

Petty finished last season with a 60 passer rating while throwing three touchdowns and seven interceptions. And the Jets trusted Hackenberg so little in 2016, they kept rotating between Petty, Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick over giving him even a single snap of playing time.

The Patriots, meanwhile, have Tom Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Not too shabby.

Stand up to the Patriots cheating ways by not printing a few lines about some anonymous league executives chuckling about the Jets QB situation?

You seem a little wound up, Kurt. Take the rest of the day off.

  4. A few lines? Really? They wrote a whole article about it..and it's one of the top stories on New York Jets google news. This type of crap out of NESN is almost a daily occurrence. Damn right I'm wound up. Others should be too. It's bad enough what happens on the field w. them...forget the cheating & otherwise. Now they have to plague our right to follow our team free of ridiculous bush league insults..?

I'm emotional..sure..definitely volatile towards our classy division rival..but if this doesn't outrage you on some level..you are a better man than I.Maybe not a better fan though

A "whole article"? Because it's more than 140 characters?

I will admit that my days as a Best Fan candidate are in the rear view. You got me there. Although somehow I still find myself here every day. And in general I'm glad to see people fired up. :)

    Who cares. Fuck Boston.

  7. I'm sure you are a great fan.I'm not trying to be houlier than thou.

I'm not sure I understand your overall point however.Regardless of how long the article is or isn't ..it's a top news headline on the Jets feed from a Boston outlet. And it's far from the first. The entire piece is focused solely on insulting the Jets & boosting the Patriots ego.Is this how a classy winning fan base/team beat/franchise should act?Is the general synopsis of the article anything other than "Sources say The jets are a laughingstock & the patriots aren't;Yay"?Are they so arrogant & overconfident now that they need to look over their shoulder & belittle others to get their jollies?

And I appreciate the fact that you despise the Patriots, Kurt. I enjoy hating them also. When we win a Super Bowl, I will happily carry you off the field on my shoulders.

But you and I aren't going to make headway here because the media pisses you off and I just don't give a fuck. Even if I did, I don't equate the New England media with the Patriots organization.

I do. You got guys like Mike Lombardi who worked for those ______. So if there are people who are fans of the Patriots and/or worked for them, and they trash us with every breath they can muster.... how does that not reflect on them? It's like being a fan of Manchester City and having your team trashed by Manchester United linked hacks in the BBC or Sky Sports. So we should be just pretend that all is fair play and they are just giving us our just deserts? They are taking pleasure from laying into us and it's a dog pile.

I really couldn't care less. Tom Brady can not play forever. Once Brady is gone; N.E then goes back to being that AFC East team in which the NFL no longer cares enough to even mention anymore (let alone talk about). Fans from states such as Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut will no longer have a relevant team.

The Jets may not be a winning franchise but they represent New York. That will never change. Fk Boston.

I am a City fan and you are right, the independent broadcaster the BBC are so far up utd's arse it is unbelievable, so if any Jet thinks we can't overtake those cheating Patriot fuckers then just take a little look at Manchester and see that the underdog has its day and City are the new power in that regard, 40 years I waited for that nearly and I am nearly at 33 for the Jets, I am a patient fellow but I will enjoy my day whe nthe Jets win the Superbowl again

I'd rather never see my Jets win a title than to have my championships *tainted* (due to cheating).

Loss of 1st round picks. Spygate. Camera men. Deflategate. Deflated footballs. Congress involved. Video tapes destroyed. Brady hiding head injuries etc. These guys are tainted. Always and forever.

Imo Brady, Belly & NE ='s the Barry Bonds, Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones of sports and should've been treated as if they were Pete Rose ala banned from the game.

If the N.Y Football Jets ever win another title? At least us NY fans can be proud. That's when "the wait" would become worthwhile. N.E on the other hand? *TAINTED*.

I wonder what Brady said to his wife after she was caught slipping and admitted that her husband has suffered head injuries? Looks like N.E mastered the art of cheating the injury report too. It's just funny to me.

  14. Wow I'm a city fan too. Kinda creepy, right? Though I must admit being at least half German American I prefer the Bundesliga & love Werder Bremen.

That said..I totally see the correlation..and it is true that United is eating some crow & some justice has been served. I'm also a huge fan of the band RATT & as stephen Pearcy so eloquently put it..."What goes around comes around". But then again..when it comes to the Patriots the appropriate Ratt song is likely "Sweet cheater"

Good comparison even though it's not a derby between the two American Footy teams .. Manchester City has overtaken United and with the signing of Bernardo Silva, they will have two outstanding midfielders and I think they will be a better duo than Garett Barry and D. Silva. Things started to change when the checkbook arrived to MC. I've enjoyed watching Aguero, Toure, Kompany, and the aged Sagna among others. They are not my favorite team as that privilege goes to Real Madrid, but I like to watch them play.

The Patriots will soon not have Brady and Bellicheat. Times will change and the Jets will top the Patriots once again. This time we need to win the damn Trophy .. and more than once! I can feel it .. it's coming .. the wins are coming ladies and gents! It's going to happen for all of us .. it's going to be the perfect story. The parade .. just think of the parade!!! I haven't in decades .. but when it happens .. I'll probably shed a tear!

Well our QBs leave little to get excited about and to make it worse we have a GM who thinks they are just fine and believes drafting more DBs will get us to the promised land...

Its really getting pathetic at this point reading every Hackenberg article- everyone analyzing every throw the kid makes. He is 22 years old- I understand he was a second round pick but lay off the kid. If he fails its not him its on Maccagnan. The plan was NEVER to play him last year- they said that pretty early on- and people still were frustrated with the decision. Its even sadder to see the amount of Jets fans on this board who want to see him fail just so they can say "I told you he was a bad pick." That is nonsense- you're a Jets fan root for the best for your players.

Good Defensive backs are seriously in demand. WR's 2, 3, 4 and or the TE will eat you up. Especially if a team cannot generate pressure.
