If that's true, then the whole lot of those OL should be cut and never play a down of professional football again.
That's what worries me about Bowles. I think maybe as a former player he can't get all Jimmy Johnson on them and be a hard ass. If last year, he had said "You guys ---- up again and I'll cut you and you." And if he had challenged Mo and Sheldon rather than suspend them one measly game that would have made a difference in the locker room. I get that Bowles has the knowledge to be a good head football coach. Whether he does psychologically.... that's another story. .
I don't think anyone on the offense liked Petty. They were all too cozy with Fitzpatrick. Petty was too nice and too green to get in their faces about it. The second half of the year everyone was just playing for themselves. You could see it in their play and in their body language
I will say that Dupree's hit was illegal. He was obviously looking to take Moores head off. Any teammate of the QB would be pissed at that. The Dolphin hit on Petty was legal. He just got pancaked between two rushers.
Even with that being the case, where was the concern for their Qb and teammate? Where was the pride in their jobs which is... to take care of the Qb. Not one Olinesman even offered a hand to help Petty get up. They were all probably too busy laughing their worthless asses off.
Why was it illegal? Moore still had the ball until the split second before Dupree hit him and Dupree ducked his head in an effort to not hit Moore in the head. IMO it was a clean play.
Haven't you watched football in the last 10 years? He lowered his helmet and hit Moore in the chin. That was clearly a penalty. It wasn't even questionable.
