Wow, that was terrible. Definitely sounds like he has some beef with Ovechkin. Couldn't be more wrong too. Ovechkin has improved year after year and become more of a 2-way player who has bought into Trotz' system. Everyone on that team is sickened by losing Game 7 Wednesday. They wanted and felt they were capable of winning the cup. I've seen loser Caps teams and this team is not it. 2015 they blew a 3-1 lead vs the Rangers when they were 2 minutes from the ECF. Last year the Pens were on fire, hard to stop and this year a couple mistakes led to a Game 7 elimination. It's hard to win the Stanley Cup. Takes much more than what's on paper alone.
Still no update on Eaves. 05/15/2017 12:10:48 PM EST UPDATE: Hagelin (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Monday's tilt against Ottawa. 05/15/2017 1:08:42 PM EST UPDATE: Hornqvist (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Game 2 against the Senators on Monday. 05/15/2017 12:04:22 PM EST UPDATE: Daley (lower body) will be a game-time decision in Monday's Game 2 against Ottawa.
Rust (skating on the top line with Crosby) and Schultz (top D now) got injured early in the first period and never returned. Pittsburgh won, 1-0.
Vatanen shoves a Predator into Gibson, who is then unable to get over to make a save on Forsberg. 1-1
each side has had a goal waved off Anaheim had a goal waved off because a Nashville player pushed his own net off just as the puck was sliding in (absurd rule when you're allowed to knock your net off so the opponent can't score) Nashville had a goal waved off because one of their players (Zolniercyzk) fell on Gibson, for interference
The Predators look like the best of the 4 remaining teams so far in the Conference Finals. We will see if it holds up.
Carlyle is whining that the Preds are crashing the crease lmao, the Ducks have literally been assaulting people all playoffs and he's crying. Go Preds
well Gibson did get run over twice in quick succession, so I can see why he's upset plus Forsberg keeps spearing people in the crotch and escapes discipline Interesting note: Forsberg was traded for Martin Erat, who was a very dirty player. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Erat
Yeah, the Erat trade gets brought up to me pretty much anytime Forsberg does anything. Such a terrible trade. Maybe one of the worst ever as Erat was terrible as a Cap.
They're likely pushing the boundaries since the refs aren't calling Kesler or Getz for any of their antics. Refs have put the whistles away, as long as they're consistent should be fine. Carlyle can fuck off.
Ottawa chases Fleury after scoring 4 goals on him in like 6 shots or something crazy. 4-0 late in the first
