I mean Trump wears clown shoes but he's not stupid. I doubt he's foolish enough to believe he could actually snuff this out with one move like this.
Comey will testify. My guess is that he's getting his act together knowing what's in store for him. Trump's lackeys will attack with a vengeance. You know, the ones that swore allegiance.. I wonder just how much Comey has to say that can be said in the light of day. Since Trump has a habit of picking fights, he might wanna reconsider this one with the FBI.
I doubt Comey has any intelligence that someone else still at the FBI doesn't have. That hearing he declined wasn't a public one.

Liberals either can't make up their minds about Comey or are serially dishonest--was Comey the Trumpian tool that cost their mendacious, criminal harridan the election or a noble crusader for justice whose firing is a blow to Democracy and the Republic. Like you I have little to no use for Trump but unlike you I could not pull the lever for him. And while I may revere the free market and the Constitution, I am a man without a party. So who has an objection to any of the Comey led investigations? Other than those who might be guilty of something or don't want any of their secret pals and benefactors to be discovered, of course? Surely we're not really worried about the expense.
