bizarre Edmonton without their top two Ds and up 5 goals plus McDavid doesn't have a point or even a shot.
Oilers better hope Klefbom is back for Game 7. Very strange what happened. No indication of anything wrong with him, then after scheduled start time: 05/07/2017 7:09:42 PM EST UPDATE: Klefbom will not play Sunday's Game 6 in Edmonton due to an undisclosed injury. ANALYSIS: Klefbom took the ice for warmups, but left after just a couple of minutes skating around, per Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal. It's likely that the blueliner sustained the ailment when he took a Cam Fowler shot up high during Game 5 on Friday. Griffin Reinhart will draw into the lineup in Klefbom's place Sunday.
The only good thing I could say for the Ducks is it seems they confused yesterday for game 7 so maybe they got their typical game 7 blowout loss out of their system.
More Oilers than you'd think failed to record a point in Game 6: Nugent-Hopkins (17:35, including 4:11 on the PP) McDavid (16:54, including 7:10 on the PP. He spent like 42% of his ice time on the power play) Caggiula Eberle Gryba Pouliot
I wasn't paying attention to the plus/minus. That's crazy. Playoff stats: In 12 games. Eberle has no goals, 2 assists, 21 shots on goal, and a -6 rating! Against SJ he had a 0 rating so the entire -6 came from the 6 games against Anaheim thus far. Injury news: McLellan says he expects Klefbom back tomorrow night. No comment on why he missed Game 6. Supposedly he got injured in Game 5 which is odd because he didn't miss any time and there was no indication or news about any injury. Trevor Daley out tonight for Pittsburgh.
Orpik and Niskanen, both ex-Pens, combine to injure Hornqvist Hornqvist driving to the net on the PP, Orpik shove from behind, causing Hornqvist to get hit in the face by Niskanen's skate
Game 7 it is! Now we can say my Caps in 7 pick is on pace. Home Ice and Momentum go to the Caps, but history goes to the Pens. We will see what happens Wednesday. Cant wait!
I have to give probs to the Caps especially Trotz, he separated his star players and found better matchups because of it. Go Ovie.
injury updates: Trevor Daley and Matt Murray missed practice today. Eaves (lower body) was spotted at Honda Center on Tuesday with crutches but no walking boot or cast, Helene Elliott of the LA Times reports. ANALYSIS: Various media outlets reported Monday that Eaves is "highly questionable" for Wednesday's Game 7 against the Oilers, yet the winger still requiring crutches one day later obviously doesn't bode well for his chances of playing in the deciding semifinal contest. Eaves is a power-play weapon on a Ducks team that has struggled mightily on the man advantage in these playoffs (14.3 conversion rate), but at this juncture, his status looks gloomy at best. Klefbom (undisclosed) "looked good" during Tuesday's practice and head coach Todd McLellan anticipates the player being ready for Wednesday's Game 7 against Anaheim. ANALYSIS: Edmonton's defensive depth was already wearing thin before Klefbom was scratched from Game 6 on Sunday, with top-4 defenseman Andrej Sekera (undisclosed) having been ruled out for the remainder of the series. A good indicator that Klefbom will be in the lineup for Game 7 is the fact that he worked with the first power-play unit Tuesday.
Ottawa dressed Chris Neil in Game 5 and then again tonight. It's an odd decision because he plays under 5 minutes. Waste of a spot. If they just want him around, they don't have to dress him.
