And of course the feminists who don't even watch hockey all of a sudden have an opinion on the arena. What a time to be alive. I personally haven't been to Rogers Place yet but everyone has been bitching about the bathroom lines.
I was at MSG and apparently they have a similar problem. It makes sense though because people don't want to go during live action. Between periods and during breaks in action (and after the game) there were long lines for all the men's rooms I saw on the level. RE: Rogers Place I thought it was funny that the story was they converted TWO bathrooms and the Deadspin headline was saying they got rid of all women's rooms. Basically, in certain areas there are now limited women's rooms, but it's not like they got rid of all of them. Jackass who headlined it either didn't read the story or wanted to deliberately mislead people to sensationalize it.
Might have just made a mistake, but got tickets for Game 5 tomorrow night at Verizon Center. Either the Caps get the win to extend the series or I guess I go down with the Titanic.
That is crazy. I literally turned it off with 10 minutes left because I was tired and thought it was over. Just watched the highlights. The goals were similar to the ones the Pens scored to get 2 goals in 2 minutes to force OT in Game 3 vs. the Caps. That 3rd goal was insane though. Can't believe it got through so many players. Hopefully the young Oilers learn from this.
Even when the series was 2-0 I thought the Ducks would win it. That being said I've been extremely impressed with the Oilers this series. Ducks are better but not by much. Oilers have all the looks of a team about to win the Cup in the next few seasons.
It was a lot of fun. Holtby with some huge saves. The Top guys like Backstrom, Kuznetsov and Ovechkin coming up with big goals. More importantly: The team showed they had heart. It's going to take a similar effort to keep it rolling. On to Game 6 in Pittsburgh! Tomorrow a pair of Western Conference Game 6's. Can't wait!
Ovechkin was moved to the third line for yesterday and Burakovsky got bumped to the top line. Funny because Burakovsky had been playing like 10 minutes a game. Anyway, it worked out, as both got a goal.
Trevor Daley left early. Another injury. Also, Andrej Sekera, who left after playing less than 2 minutes for Edmonton in Friday's game, leaving them a man down, is out for the series.
Yes sir! Both played great. Especially Burakovsky. He was flying around. As for the Pens: Crosby looked fine to me. Not sure he really had a concussion after all. Doubt you can return that fast with his history if he had one. Probably were just being safe holding him out Game 4.
The whole thing was very confusing because the reports said he and Sheary both had concussions but you normally can't return that quickly from a concussion. and of course Crosby had a history of concussions. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...on-return-pittsburgh-lineup-game-5/101398136/
Nashville becomes the first team to advance to the conference finals. They won half their games during the regular season.
