it would be absolutely amazing if Anthony Davis (I think his name) goes to Rutgers. 6'6 330 pound tackle, #2 tackle prospect in the country, goes to school in Piscataway, impressed by the RU win last week...

They already got one of the top linebacker prospects to commit, the future is gold for Rutgers.

Thank you, Rutgers. Louisville will now get the automatic Big East BCS bid, so long as the Cardinals beat the Panthers and Huskies. It's also WVU's own fault for losing to Louisville.

Wait, if Rutgers can win out after this, shouldn't they get the tiebreak over Louisville? (I have no idea how this process works).

Or are you assuming WVU runs rampant on Rutgers, which is also possible.

I was going with the assumption West Virginia will defeat Rutgers. That would leave a two-way tie (assuming LOU beats PITT and UCONN and WV beats USF). In the event of a two-way tie, Louisville would win.

(The rules are different for a three-way tie.)

    TWO-WAY TIE
The winner of the head to head match-up will represent the BIG EAST in the
    Bowl Championship Series

    THREE-WAY TIE
A “MINI-CONFERENCE” IS CREATED AMONGST THE THREE TIED
    TEAMS
    Scenario I:
All three teams have either a 6-1 or 5-2 record and have each won one and
lost one against the other tied teams in the mini-conference. In this case, the
highest ranked team amongst the three earns the bid. If two of the three
teams are tied for the highest ranking, the bid is earned by the team winning
    the head-to-head match up.
    Scenario II:
All three teams have 5-2 records, and within the mini-conference, Team A is
2-0, Team B is 1-1, and Team C is 0-2. Team A earns bid regardless of
    ranking.

That was fairly deflating. The entire offense needs to be taken to task on that one, and add in the lack of adjustments by the coaching staff as well. It's like they didn't even know that Grutza wasn't starting, then when they went in at the half, they seemed to get even worse.

Mike Teel desperately needs to get his head together, or Natale's going to be taking his job next year. He's just lucky Lovelace is no threat to ever throw the ball.

Up 21-0 at the half vs Syracuse. Will set up a game at WVU for the Big East title and I would guess a BCS Bowl, probably on New Year's.

With WVU in serious danger of losing to South Florida, they'd be out of contention. They would basically be playing Rutgers to put Louisville into the BCS game, which probably will be unpleasant for Cakes.

I didn't watch the game as I had to do work on my late grandmother's estate. I just got back. First thing I turned on was ESPNEWS. I saw Bill Curry(best football broadcaster for my money, by the way) and Pam Ward talking about the Bulls' defeat of the Mountaineers. Really, this did not surprise me as my WVU alum friend and myself knew the Bulls were coming for a few years now. That team is legit. Also, the Mountaineers tend to play like pansies when they are the hunted team. The season was sort of over to me anyway when WVU lost to Louisville.
I think WVU will beat Rutgers and that will leave the Big East with only one BCS participant.

My Pat White avatar (probably my fave college player ever; I also was a big fan of Amos Zereoue and Carnell Williams) did go. (To think I could have gone to the University of Southern California.)

It's simple now---win and get a BCS Bowl game. Rutgers on New Years night? Could happen.
