Not my town or me. lol. But Pens fans no doubt. And they are annoying already. Would have preferred to beat them at 100% is what I was trying to say.
this is a dream scenario for the capitals because it's not like they were going to win a series against a healthy penguins team so now they have a chance to win a Cup finally.
The best thing about the Caps continued failure is that Trots prevented Holtby from getting the regular season wins record last year and so the team has zero significant accomplishments to applaud.
Penguins are a machine. Has to be acknowledged. They turned Jultz into a player too. Wow. Oilers Ducks 2-1 mid 2nd Go oilers go
I predicted Caps in 7. Still on pace......... I disagree. Winning back to back Metro Division Championships and back to back President's Trophies are significant accomplishments. As is Holtby wining the Vezina trophy last year and potentially this year. Still, the main goal is the Stanley Cup and the Caps have not accomplished that obviously. Agreed. Remarkable. Tough loss. Caps dominated the final 30 minutes, but couldn't get the puck in the net. Kicking the puck into their own net did not help. On to Game 5. Imagine a diehard fan of both. Yikes!
They make it frustrating on a fan though. That is for sure! Rangers look to tie it up tonight at MSG. Ducks did tie the series up last night. And the only team in worse shape than the Caps right now is the Blues. Down 3-1 too, but the Preds just look better.
While searching Twitter last night for information on whether Getzlaf and Perry were skating together (they did, and it's been a long time for that once vaunted duo), I came across the bathroom problems at Rogers Place. The title is very misleading, as they simply converted two bathrooms, not all of them, but apparently there were long lines for the men, so they converted two of the rooms, and now there's only one women's bathroom in an entire area. http://deadspin.com/oilers-eliminate-womens-bathrooms-to-improve-experience-1794892001
Winning the Presidents Trophy and Division titles are accomplishments for up and coming teams, but the Caps have three PT's in the last seven years and haven't even made it to the conference finals. Winning divisions and PT's are interesting trivia questions but are never historic points of topic. But setting the single season goalie wins is a historic accomplishment and Trots robbed Holtby of setting it. Maybe Holtby didn't want to play and set the mark; I don't know, but from the outside it looked more like Trots wanting to rest his goalie for a playoff run that never materialized while also missing out on a truly historic accomplishment.
I'm sure Holtby wanted it, just like Rich Hill wanted a shot at a perfect game and his manager took it away from him.
