Agreed. Possibly the worst Caps player on the ice. Big win though. We will see how the Pens injuries shape out. Not too confident that half of their team was hurt including Crosby and it still took OT to get a win, but I will take it.
TDK, 5 minute major for Niski on that play is a joke, if it wasn't Crosby dying on the ice for 10 minutes, he wouldn't have even gotten a penalty, looked like Ovie got him worse
Nice win, that penalty was not worthy of 5 minutes , it was the refs overreacting to Cindy squirming like a squid on the ice. I hate Pittsburgh so much, words cannot describe it. The down side is that the Pens have shown that they can win without Crosby in the past as Malkin has stepped up and played like he's a man on a mission. Still rooting for Ovie.
Another pair of injuries Zack Smith left in the first period and Bobby Ryan in the second depleted Senators routed at MSG Guy just got a concussion from being hit in the head, so it was justified.
Ellis with a power play goal after a badly blown call by the refs gives STL an extra penalty for no apparent reason. Game probably decided right there.
We will have to disagree on that 5:00 minute penalty with an ejection from the game. If it were a malicious intent to injure Cindy, then I would be on board with the penalty and ejection. He was falling down on the play as Niskanen was bringing up his stick and as he stretched his arms out it hit him in the head as he was sliding. I bet you thought all of Scott Stevens hits were dirty, when in reality he was the cleanest hardest hitting defenseman that played?
You completely misread my post. I didn't comment on the penalties. My point was that you claimed Crosby was somehow faking an injury or something when he might be done for the playoffs. Him laying on the ice was justified when he just got concussed from being hit in the head. And then you bring up Scott Stevens, one of my favorite players. Just LOL.
The Caps now find themselves in a bad spot. Either: 1. They come back and win the series but people point to all the Penguins injuries including Crosby. or 2. The Penguins defeat the Caps even without all of those players and make it more embarrassing for the Caps. I'll take Option 1 but it is unfortunate. Big games tonight. Both home teams with a chance to go up 3-1, both road teams trying to even the series after dropping the first 2 at home. Gotta love playoff hockey!
By that logic you can't win. You have to forget the injuries, players get injured all the time. If the Rangers had Zuccarello in 2015 they get to the cup. Shit happens, and when you win it all you win it all there's no asterisk. Even with the Patriots 2nd superbowl ago, Seahawks made a brain call that gets made 1 out of a 1000 and they lost, nobody brings that up when they count the N.E. rings. Trust me nobody in your town will even remember Crosby's name if there's a parade
