What was the logic there? I get that he's not the greatest kid off the field, but he's not toxic like Mixon and he's got star potential. God forbid if the Jets bring someone in that could sell jersey's.
his combine measurables I think put him in the 9th percentile compared to NFL players that is super duper bad. obviously, the tape doesn't lie, but those numbers cannot be ignored. his off the field issues and his support system should seriously be questioned as well. not to mention, we have seen time & time again RBs being successful in later rounds. jordan howard from last year comes to mind
This year will tell us about Maccs drafting as players like Jordan Jenkins, Brandon Shell, Hackenberg, Deon Simon, Mauldin, Darron Lee and a few others will get extensive playing time and be relied upon. So you should probably reserve judgment til then. Leonard Williams is obviously a beast.
Macc was super drunk. He couldn't see straight and chose someone from Florida instead of Florida state.
the short answer is there is no explanation. we simply did not need another safety in the 2nd after we took Adams
This article summarizes why Macc might've passed over him - shades of Michael Vick? Great talent, but really stupid decision-making, and a PR nightmare. Maybe worse than Mixon, taken all together. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/04/a-g...t-rb-in-the-draft-fell-out-of-the-first-round
Probably the same reason every other team passed on him, some twice Good player but baggage...RBs can be found later
