1) Jamal Adams, S 2) Marcus Maye, S 3) ArDavious Stewart, WR 4) Chad Hansen, WR 5) Jordan Leggett, TE 6) Dylan Donahue, Edge 7) Elijah McGuire, RB 8) Jeremy Clark, CB 9) Derrick Jones, CB Thoughts?? (Forum is slipping btw.. Back in the day had threads as soon as each pick was made. The apathy is real )
Quantity Rules!!! Increased our picks from 7 to 9 Met the needs of the team in a lot of areas (just no OL) which suxs The Mayes pick is most controversial Besides the first 3 selections gut says we have at least 3 others who can make the team..67percent overall Not bad
I'm good with this draft. looks like Mac is cleaning up the locker room with leaders Jedi slipped leaving out next years 5 from dallas
1) Jamal Adams, S: A 2) Marcus Maye, S: C+ (no brainer to take Cook here) 3) ArDavious Stewart, WR: B+ 4) Chad Hansen, WR: B 5) Jordan Leggett, TE: A- 6) Dylan Donahue, Edge: F 7) Elijah McGuire, RB: B 8) Jeremy Clark, CB: C 9) Derrick Jones, CB: D Overall Grade: B
I wish we had gotten LB help our Linebackers are Bad but then again much of the team is bad . Defense will only be as good as its pass rush and we still dont have one. Secondary will hopefully will be better which should help but who is going to cover the TE or Rb out of the backfield and who is going to rush off the edge ? 2018 cant get here fast enough
I'm surprised Mac did not pick a QB, I thought he was going to use the Ron Wolf philosophy and draft one in the later rounds, just to keep the assembly line going, until they found their FQB. All in all, it's what we as jet fans asked for, players that can come in and start from day one, I believe the top 3 guys can start day one. Nice job Mac.
I'm OK with the draft - It was definitely about picking talent that may come good in 2018, not 2017. No flashy picks, no workout warriors. None of these picks will stop next season becoming a complete shit show. Still no idea what the Donahue pick was about.
Such a terrible pick. Probably a family friend of Macs or something. Either that or Mac is a dumbass.
Jamal Adams - A+ Marcus Maye - B ArDarious Stewart - B Chad Hansen - B Jordan Leggett - A Dylan Donahue - D Elijah McGuire - B Jeremy Clark - B- Derrick Jones - C
Marcus May missed one freaking tackle over 430 snaps last year. He will go down as the steal of the draft for the Jets. I have hi hopes for him and Adam if Bowles and his side kick DC don't screw it up. Ill give Mac A- just on the first 2 picks and B+ overall for selecting a very explosive running back in the later rounds a solid TE and a WR suited for special teams as well. . First five picks were money. Eli will sparkle this freaking running game. OL will be addressed with the undrafted and I bet we find a gem. Last 2 CB don't know much about them at all. Finally, after 2 years of patching up overpriced dinosaurs and pacifying Woody we are cleaning house like we should have done on day one. We might be a few pieces away, OL and QB as well as LB but we will be a lot more fun to watch. Bowles...don't screw the kids up
I bet Donahue will surprise a few as a situational pass rusher and a special team demon. Don't despair jet fans. we might have 5 players out of this draft in the line up and some much needed cleansing to boot.
I say this was a solid draft, but it remains to be seen what happens in the next couple of seasons...Personally, I think they are heading in the right direction in the rebuilding process. Going to take couple of years but it is a start...We do need OL but we can build the trench next season.
1) Jamal Adams, S A 2) Marcus Maye, S C 3) ArDavious Stewart, WR B 4) Chad Hansen, WR A 5) Jordan Leggett, TE A 6) Dylan Donahue, Edge C 7) Elijah McGuire, RB C 8) Jeremy Clark, CB B 9) Derrick Jones, CB C Overall Grade B
Glad the Jets didn't draft a qb. Not so sure about Maye, it's definitely a questionable pick. Got a stellar TE for the Morton offense. I'd give it a B- for now.
C+. Adams fell in their lap otherwise a lot of misses like not grabbing Cook, Butt, OL, and a quality OLB. Mac and Bowles should be gone after an upcoming shitty season.
i guess C....doesn't look like we even reached par on most of those trades. if we were accepting deals that were slightly negative then why couldn't we find a partner in rounds 1 and 2 and come away with a couple 2018 picks.... telling u guys - if we miss out next year on a QB because we couldn't swing a deal and move up for the kill u have to point to the lack of maneuverability at the top of this draft.
I just want good players, the team has needs everywhere. The order in which they fill those needs I don't care.
