What did we get? ESPN lagging news by like 5+ mins now. I hate the draft at this point. It's in the wrong month and the NFL and ESPN think we care enough not to notice.
That was a shit trade. Would've rather 100% pick desmond king or Jake butt with that pick. 6th round pick will amount to nothing and we moved back 18 spots.
Stop. Just, please. Stop. We are a rebuilding team. We now have one less pick then what we started out with to begin this entire draft. We need the players. We need more options. This was a great trade.
A sixth round pick on this team can make a considerable difference. Player to watch out for is Carl Lawson. Was a huge risk early in the draft but we're reaching the point where the risk may be worth it considering the huge upside. Expecting the Jets to land someone who can compete for starting TE job. Also someone who can start at nickel CB after one more year of Skrine. Probably will take two CBs tomorrow.
I don't understand this trade down, either. Earlier in the draft was the time to trade down, not now. Why are they stocking up on low round draft picks? Do they not like anyone that's left? Do they plan to try to fix the OL with all those low round picks? Do they really plan to go into the season with ASJ and a bunch of nobodies at TE? By the time they draft again, Butt, Leggett, Kittle, and Sprinkle could all be gone. I don't think Roberts is a good prospect at all.
Depth is super important and the Jets have none at most spots. Even if all the Jets get out of that extra 6th is a special teamer who never sees the field with the starting units, it's still a pick well spent.
