SF traded out of the 3rd rd for a 2nd next year. Jets moved down a couple spots for an extra 5th. If you wanna talk about amateur hour at least get your facts straight.
How did the 12 pick draft work out? Don't answer until we dump Calvin Pryor for a six pack of Milwaukee's Best.
Damn Willis gone to Cincy If we're going that boat, I can say the same on Mangini.....we got Mangold, DBrick, Revis and Harris(And Gholston sigh) in the 3 years under Mangini.
That's beside the point. That was incompetent drafting and evaluation. All the trade ups were just building in losses down the road so Tanny could look good at the moment. He ate a lot of hamburgers that other people paid for on Tuesday.
Tim Williams fails the boyscout test. Rasul Douglas and Dede Westbrook are possible targets. Not sure if this draft is going off of the rails or if these guys have a plan.
AFAIK there's nothing wrong with Williams character. He is supposedly stupid. He rarely started at Alabama because of that. He evidently couldn't learn the game plans or defend vs the run. He's apparently a situational pass rusher only.
Funny how many here are shitting on the pick because it's a safety but don't know fuck all about the player capabilities. Read about him. He is a ball hawk and an instant upgrade over Gillcrest. Unbelievable instincts to the ball. I frankly don't give two shits that Mac brought Gillcrist in in the first place. It was a quick fix. Now we are freaking cleaning house and loving it. Gill is way gone. The trade down puzzles me but Mac gets better in the later rounds. As for a Tanny, screw that, we never went past the 4th.
Unfortunately, we still have an incompetent drafting and evaluation. Idzik's draft ideology and management of resources was far superior to the current GM's. The Jets are well on their way to becoming the next Bills, Browns, and Raiders pre 2015.
