Sometimes the ignorance of posters on this forum is overwhelming. I guess it just goes to prove the old maxim, "Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one."
Or you could just ignore the obvious trolls and let them die a slow death. You know there is no rule that you must respond to every post you remotely disagree with, right?
I don't believe that there are many trolls here, just ignorant Jets fans. What's it to you if I want to respond to people? If you don't like it, you can put me on ignore.
The Jets have now taken defense in the 1st 9 straight years. Longest streak out of any team in 40 years. But, Adams had to be the pick. He was a can't miss prospect. We can't pass up on him because of our awful trend. This is largely Rex's fault. Wilson, Coples, Milliner, Richardson, and Pryor should all have been passed up for other offensive talent. Blame them, not Adams. Every single one of those prospects was a gamble, nothing like Williams and Adams.
To me -- nothing. I like reading your posts in general. It's just you get frustrated to the point of loosing your marbles talking to those "ignorant" fans. Actually to think about it, that's quite entertaining so... never mind, carry on
Thanks. Yes, I do lose it talking to the "ignorant" fans and know I shouldn't. I just don't understand how people can throw opinions out there without having done any research or put any thought into it. If they have, and still post those opinions, then I'm really flummoxed. You're right in that I probably would be happier and less stressed if I just ignored what I consider to be ignorant opinions. I've tried to do that before and failed. Thanks for the reminder. It's time to make another effort to keep my blinders on.
Cannot compare the two prospects, they are totally different players with different skill-sets. Both will be the next great safeties in the NFL I truly believe it. Adams is the leader we need right now. I am still shocked he dropped to 6.
to be fair most people said his on tape didn't stand out but it was more his interviews that impressed scouts. he's a leader and great locker room guy and a hybrid player. reminds me a bit of hines ward when people praised him but his only knock was "good at everything great at nothing" obviously hines ward had an excellent career.
I'm very happy with the Adams pick and knew that when he sat on their laps at 6 they were not going to trade down. I think those that were disappointed with this pick and thought they should have drafted Watson, lets see who makes the pro bowl first....Adams is a special player and will be the vocal leader of the defense in a very short time.....wait and see.
I'm not disappointed in adams. I think he was the best option if we couldn't have traded down. I would have rather gone fournette or trub but clearly that was not an option when we were up. according to reports jets didn't try to trade down. they told adams if he fell that we would take him right away. once adams fell the jets had no interest in trading down which is what i would have preferred. look at the ransom some teams got by trading down. I think adams will have a good career here but I just wanted to see some offense. especially in this draft which is very defense heavy. most of the good offensive players are gone but plenty of good players left on defense
No reason to bump, he is an excellent football player. I believe Jets scheme is terrible and Rodgers has to be held accountable for not putting these guys in a position to succeed. Adams can't make up for Skrine sucking!!
