Amazing pick for us...he could have went first overall and no one would have said anything

Reminds me of Leonard Williams and that worked out pretty damn well

Just take what the draft gives you and don't look back, good job Jets

I have enjoyed it as well. For what it's worth, I was really upset that this was not a good draft for LTs as well. I thought that Mac should have taken an LT in last year's draft.

I think that Adams and Williams, and maybe Lee will be great building blocks for our D.

It's possible there will be some wild card duels between them in the upcoming years, but we don't have the QB coaching to do anything with Watson anyway. He has a much better chance of success under O'Brien. Face it.

This guy will raise the play of that secondary significantly. Was a very good pick.

Well, I'm thrilled to have landed him. Im one for one right now. Pound per pound best player in the draft and a smart leader. Now to further piss off some of my Jet friends here at TTG, if Foster is still there on the board he will be our second pick. And jointly that will present a quantum improvement in D and two pillars for yeas to come. Although, as a back up my second forecast is an OT. Watch out folks, this will be one of our finest drafts in many many years....and I don't give two fucks if it's all D Or all O. I just want playmakers for a change.

The thought of Leo, Lee (hopefully) and Adams leading the defense for 10+ years...

Do we?cause just last year Lee was anything but a safe pick, same for Hackenberg. Not only is Adams a "safe" pick he also has enormous upside, like all pro upside.

This is a great pick and the guy I hoped the Jets would take if they didn't trade down (although I didn't think there was any chance he would fall to us). After watching the draft though, the kid who brought his grandma's picture to the draft seems like a madman. I bet that kid turns out to be a superstar if he doesn't bust out immediately. It takes that kind of Lawrence Taylor-like unhinged mentality to be truly great.

What good is a decent offense if your defense sucks balls?

Great pick. I love it. Macc's magic number is that 6 pick. Stole Leo two years ago now we stole Adams.

Now onto day 2, we got 3 picks gotta pick some winners.

You really don't know how good a draft pick is till years later. I would have preferred that the Jets actually trade down to get more picks to fill more needs. But that is my opinion and who knows maybe they tried but the deals were just not there.

Overall for where they were picking this seems like a very good pick and they may have been fortunate that he was still on the board. He definitely fills a need they have had for quite awhile. I also like the fact that he is also a good special teams player.

This years draft is very weird and I am wondering if the difference between the 1st round and the 2nd round is not as great as it has been in previous years. It appeared to me some of the picks later in the 1st round were actually better.

Hopefully the Jets have found the next Ronnie Lott!

Our defense always stinking is valid, Adams being similar to Pryor is not valid at all. Pryor was always a heavy hitter. He was drafted to bring pressure. Instead we played him out of position and put him out covering guys, which was never his strong point. Adams is a different kind of player. If we end up keeping Pryor, and we use both safeties right, he would make Pryor much better because they won't be asking Pryor to do as many things that he isn't best at doing.
