Wait Houston didn't give up pick #25 also? That's a fair trade definitely then. Cleveland just didn't love their picks at 12 and is strait stockpiling for a QB now that they got their round 1 blue-chip defender.
I disagree. There's hope that Petty or Hack will develop this year. If so, Mac will look like a genius. Since KC will have their QB of the future as will the Texans and the Bears, that's three fewer teams who will need a QB next year. I might be missing some teams, but right now, I think the teams that may be looking to take a QB next year will be the Jets, Browns, Ravens, Chargers, Cardinals, and Bills. There's always hope.
I'm not gonna argue with trub being a potential bust. we all know that was possible but at least they understand they need to address the offense and QB position specifically with glennon on a 1 year prove it deal and trub 2nd overall. what have we done to improve the offense or the most important position in the NFL? sure you can say it's the bears and they suck but KC did and has been a good team for the past 5+ years and andy reid knows how to build, and the texans did it as well and they've been a playoff team the past 2 years (mostly because of their division but still)

I know. i don't blame mac the draft went bad and he was in a rough position. he still got good value (4th best player in the draft at 6) we'll find out more tomorrow probably on if we were trying to make any moves

It's putting yourself in the best position to build a franchise. Build the defense while putting yourself in the best position to grab a top QB. Rather than reaching you look ahead for the checkmate. Next year is the best QB class in years... you'll still have QB's like Herbert from Oregon who's got a first round ceiling. As long as we don't try to win we grow our young talent and assure us of a top pick. That's how you build championship teams.
