Hard to make the playoffs with a rookie QB.

Why bother asking what people think then? Do you only want to hear from them if they tell you how good your post was? That's what being coddled by your parents will do to you.

Howard won't be there at 12, King won't be there at 33 and the Browns aren't giving 12,33 and next year 1st for Sheldon and the 6.

Edit: You also have no idea where the Jets and Browns 1st round picks will be next year so how can you figure on getting Darnold and the top WR?

If the Jets are at 12 , I do see the possibility of some good players falling to them - even Howard since the only team I see potentially to take him would be Buffalo - either the case they can still get a good player.

I think he's smoking what J. Peppers was smoking.

I'd be happy with the first two picks, but don't like Peppers.

More than likely, the Jets would have to use both 1st round picks to get Darnold, there wouldn't be a 2nd player taken.

    Love the trade.

    Then take WR at 12.
At 33.Take the QB Peterman from Pitt.

An example of his solid play is Pitt vs. Clemson. Clemson had too many penalties, but Peterman was very good under duress, mobile and the moment was not too big for him.
We need to rebuild like the Raiders did with Carr and Cooper.

He absolutely might be. I think he won't, but there's more than a minute chance. I can think of a half-dozen scenarios where it happens - Buffalo is the team most likely to take him between 6-11, but they're just as likely to take a top WR (mainly Mike Williams, and I absolutely think Tennessee has a solid chance to grab a DB at 5 and take a WR at 18), could absolutely go DB after losing Gilmore in FA, or could take a QB. Buffalo was crippled by injuries to their young players last season and I wouldn't be surprised to see some 'natural rebound' for them.

Lattimore, Garret, Thomas, Trubitsky, Adams, Hooker, Fournette are all likely to go off the board before Howard, assuming we trade down, is my thinking. Williams, McAffery, Watson, Riddick, Foster are all strong possibilities as well.

Also keep in mind 'relative positional value' - Ebron was the highest-drafted TE in a while, and went #9 overall. I can see GMs generally unwilling to pull the trigger on the position - the last TE to get drafted that high was Vernon ****ing Davis; only Eric Ebron has gone in the top 15 (10th overall) in the past decade.

I like the first two a lot (but i highly doubt either will be there at that specific pick). Peppers is just someone who i don't believe would be successful with the jets.
