Malik Hooker FS Ohio state! I think he's the best safety in the draft and has amazing awareness, ball skills and speed. He's a HUGE upgrade over Gilcrist. Obviously trading back would be nice but probably not likely. Who do you think will be the pick?
I smell Trade Down. If we could not find a trade partner, I can see the Jets selecting Hooker as well.

The Jets will select Howard, Adams, or Fournette if either are there at 6. If they are all gone they will try to trade down.
If we stay at 6 I think it will be Hooker or Adams. If we stay in top 10 but move back a couple spots I say Howard. If we do the trade with Cleveland, I think we would take the best pass rusher available.
It's all dependent on Trubisky I think. He either goes #1 or he's available at the 6 and people care or he's available at the 6 and nobody gives a crap because he was the biggest smokescreen for multiple teams in NFL draft history. I could see all 3 outcomes as potential realities at this point. He's a really crappy 1st round QB who is only in the mix because nobody better is available. He could be picked at 10 by the Bills and he'd still be a huge reach.
The Jets have spent 9 straight 1st round picks on defense and we still don't have a top ten D.It is time to use the 1st round pick on offense. I know Bowls wants to help the defense that sucked so bad last season, but adding one player on defense in the 1st round will not get us to even 7 wins this season. The Jets will be lucky to hit 6 wins this season and everyone knows it. Most sites and shows are saying they will be lucky to get 5 wins. We need to start building for the future through the offense. We need to give the next coach something to work with. I say draft Trubisky, Howard, or Fournette if we stay at #6. Actually I really like Christian McCaffrey or TJ Watt but we definitely need to trade back. I think they are way more value for the pick and the money. I also think they have less chance of being a bust in the NFL.
Patrick Mahomes. All the talent you could possibly want at the most important position in the NFL. Jets don't put all their eggs in the Hackenberg basket as they try to join the fortunate group of teams with a legitimate franchise QB. Gold star if they pull this off while including a trade down.
