No one more embarrassing than the #1 seed Chicago Blackhawks. They will get a pass since they won 3 Cups from 2010-15, but truly back to back 1st Round eliminations and a sweep this year is awful. Outscored 13-3 too. Unbelievable. Might need to shake things up there.
yeah I was thinking of mentioning at least they're not the Blackhawks but I decided against it. Not only swept, but thoroughly embarrassed. Worst performance by a #1 seed that I can remember. Anyway, Edmonton comes back from 3-1 down to force OT. Fans in Edmonton pumped.
Desharnais assisted on Klefbom's game tying goal then scored the game winner 18+ minutes into the first OT. Four goals, none from the top line. Maroon got dropped for tonight's game and Drake Caggiula, who had been Edmonton's best forward this series, got promoted to skate with McDavid and greasy Draisatl. Edmonton leads the series 3-2.
Only 2 games tonight. Bruins facing elimination in Ottawa and a Huge Game 5 at Verizon Center between the Leafs and Caps.
Agreed. Neither team could muster any real offense. Both Habs and Rangers look better then those 2 teams. Ottawa knows they should have closed this out
I know that guy was suspended for talking that way about Kadri but after tonight I get why he said that. The wording was clearly inappropriate, but that guy really is a piece of crap. I did not know much about him before this series, but I do now. Agreed but Boston deserved the win. I agree with that too. Like I said before the playoffs: the Rangers path to the ECF is not too bad.
That was the right call, you can't have one guy bowl over the goalie and then have a second guy skate in and whip the loose puck to the back of the net
He grazes his glove hand and they play a little footsy and the goalie falls flat on his back. That hardly equates to "bowling him over." Bad call. https://www.google.com/amp/nesn.com...nning-goal-denied-by-goalie-interference/amp/
The problem with the "Goalie Interference" call is it literally changes every time it is called. Like the Caps goal that was taken away in Game 4 for goalie interference on Backstrom. Truly ridiculous. Then they went to replay and STILL called it goalie interference. Last night in Ottawa looked like a clean goal to me. They went to replay and STILL goalie interference. Yet you see other plays much worse with harder hits and moves that really are goalie interference not get called. Same with the Off sides rule taking goals off the board. Both ridiculous to deal with and hurts the quality of the games.
bad scheduling today, maybe the networks behind it 3 PM, then a break until 8 PM, which will probably overlap with EDM/SJ Stastny returned for STL Barbeshev a last minute scratch (cost me my fantasy lineups)
Agreed, go with the usual 7 EST start, lame. Not sure what to expect tonight after SJ dropped a TD on us last time in that rink, I'll be nice and liquored up tho.
Poor Bruce Boudreau just does not have good luck in the playoffs. I thought the Wild fought hard, especially in the 3rd. Nashville vs. St. Louis is a real interesting 2nd Round Match-Up. I'll say Predators in 6.
