Yeah, despite all evidence to the contrary Waterboy just threw in your face, just keep telling that everybody

(No - Majority, No - majority of Jets fans, no - majority of pickers, no- just you)

That Jets will draft a QB at 6. And then conclude that that QB is Trub.

You got a mancrush on him, or just trolling?

So Fantasy Island - 1965 version:

Jets trade the 6 to the Browns for 12 and 33. Browns take DeShaun Watson at 6.

Jets take Mike Trubisky at 12.
Jets trade 39 and 70 to Raiders for 24 and take Patrick Mahomes.
Jets take DeShone Kizer on the 33.

Oops, stayed in the 2nd round...

And yes the Jets took QB's on their 1st 4 picks through pick 51 in 1965 the year they took Joe Namath #1.

Take off and nuke it from orbit...

Clayton: Jets should draft a quarterback (yes, again)
While there's still time to assess Christian Hackenberg, New York can't count on last year's first-round choice becoming its long-term answer.

I believe Watson is a transcendent talent who has the clutch gene, is football smart and possesses tremendous leadership abilities. I'd love for the Jets to draft him, but I can see them going defense at 6 or even trading down to acquire more picks. Whatever direction they go, I see the Jets at the very least coming away with a quarterback in one of the first two rounds of this year's draft.

How about this poll by Pags2112? Granted these polls are awfully small sample sizes. Bet you if we had another poll, there would be more votes for Trubisky, because people mostly regurgitate what they hear other "pundits" say, and that's just more regurgitated information.

    http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/2017-qb-class-who-would-you-select-poll.88303/#post-3562166

The poll question was, "2017 QB Class, Who would you select?"

    Total Votes: 84
    We should not draft a QB - 26 (35.6%)
    Deshaun Watson - 16 (21.9%)
    Pat Mahomes - 11 (15.1%)
    Nate Peterman - 9 (12.3%)
    Chad Kelly - 6 (8.2%)
    Davis Webb - 6 (8.2%)
    Mitch Trubisky - 4 (5.5%)
    DeShone Kizer - 3 (4.1%)
    Brad Kaaya - 2 (2.7%)
    Josh Dobbs - 1 (1.4%)

Yeah, how about that poll, seems you left out the part of the poll that includes the round.

50 of the 84 would not select a QB in the 1st round and the other 34 would pick certain QBs between the 1st and 3rd, I guessing at least 25% of those 34 would not want the QB in the 1st which would bring it down to only 25 of 84 wanting to pick a 1st rd QB.

Even if you count all 34 it still is clear most do not want a 1st round QB. Only 4 of 84 make it clear they would spend a 1st round pick on a QB.

Start another poll if you like because your statement that, "One thing I think most can agree on is the Jets are likely to draft a quarterback at 6, either Trubisky or Watson.", is not even close to true from the facts available to us.

I gave a link to the thread, so I'd argue to say nothing is hidden.

You claimed that most think the Jets should or will take a 1st round QB. You posted that poll as if it backed you up when in fact it does the opposite. Sure you posted the link but when posting the results of the poll why not add all the info.

I'm not sure why you're obsessing so much about where the QB's are projected to be drafted. It's very subjective.

Not obsessing, you made a post which was, from all available information, completely untrue so I pointed that out. You then continued to post other information as if it bolsters your claim, when it just further proves your initial post was wrong. I am merely responding to your posts.

I merely stated my opinion based on what I've read and heard. You then replied like a Raymond Babbitt and posted all of your Google search results for mock drafts. Mock drafts from February are about as useful to me as a hemmoroid on my ass. I put more weight in the fact the Jets have had visits with the top four quarterbacks in this year's draft...it's clear the Jets are targeting a quarterback in one of the first two rounds. Odds are it's Trubisky.

Geez if the browns don't take garrett they should all be fired....."i mean, he is the pick"......
the part in quotes is exactly what ernie accorsi said about elway leading up to the 1983 draft when there was all sorts of speculation, threats, and hand ringing about the colts picking elway.

So ,garrett is the pick, regardless of your current QB situation.

They may be double-braining on Clowney vs Carr even though Clowney was and always will be the no-brainer #1 in that draft and Carr always was falling to late 1st/early 2nd.

Texans still haven't found their QB 3 years later.

Of course they'd have taken Bortles anyway so the whole thing is moot but when you're the Browns and you're analytics driven it's going to be hard to see it that way.

The Browns are the team that could actually take all 4 QB's just to get the one who hits given their wealth of picks. They probably should do that just to be sure.

You didn't state your opinion, you posted something that was completely untrue about what you said others were thinking. When actual facts were posted showing you were wrong you first tried to deflect, then posted other info that you thought backed your argument before that was shown to be the opposite of what you said.
Now you are backing away from your initial post that "most can agree on is the Jets are likely to draft a quarterback at 6, either Trubisky or Watson." Now it is "clear the Jets are targeting a quarterback in one of the first two rounds".

The Jets have also visited with QBs that are probably going in round 4 through 7 and UDFAs, they have visited with OTs probably going in round 1. S,RB, ILB, CB, etc that are probably going in the first round were also visits the Jets have had. They must have a shitload of 1st round picks.

Once again, if you don't want your posts questioned, don't post shit that is easily refuted.

Here are all the Jets visits

2017 NFL DRAFT: Visits indicate Jets could spend another to pick on a QB

It has been quite some time since the New York Jets had a viable "quarterback of the future." There was a brief period of time where it looked like Mark Sanchez might be that guy, but that situation quickly sputtered out of control after a few years of team success despite average-ish quarterback play.

The Jets have cycled through a bunch of different players since that point, with most of the starts going to Geno Smith and then Ryan Fitzpatrick, who snatched Smith's job away after Smith was punched in the face by a teammate. Knowing neither player was the "answer" over the long-term, the Jets still selected a quarterback in each of the last two drafts.

There was Bryce Petty in the fourth round of the 2015 draft, and Christian Hackenberg in the second round of the 2016 draft. Of the two, only Petty (who famously learned how to read defensive fronts by playing 'Madden' last offseason) got on the field, and the results weren't pretty: 56.4 percent completion rate, 6.1 yards per attempt, three touchdowns and seven picks. Hackenberg was inactive all season.

And so, it should not come as a surprise that the Jets are once again sticking their feet into the quarterback market.

North Carolina's Mitchell Trubisky is set to visit the team's Florham Park, N.J. facilities on Thursday, per ESPN.com. He's the last of the top four quarterback prospects to meet with the team, as Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes II already visited earlier in the week, and the Jets held private workouts with Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer and Clemson's Deshaun Watson earlier in the draft process.

The Jets could pick a quarterback as early as No. 6 overall, but given the holes elsewhere on their roster, they might hold off until the later rounds. With Petty, Hackenberg, and stop-gap starter Josh McCown on the roster, it's also possible they could even hold off until next year, when the quarterback class is expected to be stronger. Doing due diligence is part of the job, after all, and bringing in quarterbacks for visits and workouts isn't necessarily indicative of definitely drafting one.

    ----------------------------------------

I don't believe Mac is doing this for show or smoke before the draft. I believe Mac drafts one of the four quarterbacks that have visited with the Jets.
