You're probably right, but I think they should drop Hackenberg if he doesn't show the ability to start this season, not necessarily Day 1, but this season.

Week 1 McCown Week 8 Petty Week 16 Hack Week 1 2018 ????? Hack will not play much this season. He's still way too much of a project as of right now? He'll get time when the Jets are officially eliminated from playoff contention around week 9? That'll only be because there will be concerns if the front office will still be around? Then when Hack does play, they'll quickly figure out that he's terrible. So like I pointed out, the Jets likely starting QB for 2018 is currently NOT on the roster...........
