Is it me or this team is so bad on the Powerplay that they are very much likely to allow shorthanded goals if the opponents get the puck? Frustrating stuff.
This is like a 5 year+ problem, a man up isn't an advantage for this team. That applies to pulling the goalie in the third which means an automatic goal allowed because they don't play any fucking better with an extra skater. The other long term problem is hitting the fucking net. It's like they practice missing because they are world champions of shooting wide
They def lack a couple of players with the killer instinct. This team could use someone like that, or better yet have a kid blossom into one finally like that. Rick Nash is a marshmallow as a player, Stepan is too nice, and the other guys just are not elite level to carry the team like Henrik has done as a Goaltender. Looks like NY vs Montreal is all but set.
Again, this is because when they put their first power play line in, they are more likely to lose the faceoff than not.
Derek Stepan leads the Rangers in Shots Taken with 203. He ranks 17th in shot percentage at 7.8 % He is DEAD LAST on the team among forwards in Shot Percentage. Again, this is our FIRST LINE CENTER.
just picked up seats 7 rows from the ice in Montreal. Now I need to find myself the brightest blue Kreider jersey I can
not really, mastercard presale this morning - cost $192 USD /ea which is less than nosebleeds at the Garden on stubhub. I'm going for game 1 and maybe game 2 if it's on Friday
Just got tickets to Rangers-Caps tomorrow night. Should be a fun game and maybe even a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview!
How do you feel about your boy Ovi today telling the NHL to fuck off because he's going to play in the Olympics even after the league said no?
Caps can lock up the #1 seed tonight with a win and a Pens loss, but otherwise they are still playing for something. Holtby will start tomorrow so I expect the Caps to be playing all in. The Rangers may rest players, I am not sure. He has said that ever since rumors started swirling that the NHL would not participate. I believe him. I don't mind, except he will miss a couple weeks of Capitals games since the season is not going to stop for the Olympics I would assume. Ovechkin vs. amateurs might not be fair though.
Letang out 6 months with a fucked up neck. Penguins going down Should have been Cindy Crysbaby but karma works in mysterious ways
