He was not a dirty player like some folk say, there were a couple of hits he could have backed off on, but he led with his shoulder 99% of the time. People also forget he was 6'2 215 lbs, that's the same size as Alex Ovechkin.
Red Wings at Hurricane two days in a row and Detroit playing their third straight day Occurred because 12/19 DET@CAR was postponed due to poor ice conditions.
The penguins are so screwed they've had more injuries than anyone by far and they still have the third most points in the nhl but since they're in the toughest division, they have to play on the road first round if they hadn't had letang, schultz, sheary, daley, guentzel, malkin, and many others miss so many games, they'd have the most points in the NHL. Not much doubt about it.
My sleeper team: The Washington Capitals. Meaning they fell asleep last night and somehow lost to the Coyotes 6-3. Crosby has literally carried them this year. Every time I watch them lately they look pretty bad besides him who is playing perhaps the best he ever has. Bright spot as a Caps fan: The Pens beat them last year by going 4 lines deep. The Caps erased Crosby's line. If that happens again this year the Caps should win the series.
second time in a few days a goalie had to be taken off on a stretcher Eddie Lack recently for Carolina Mason was sick so the third string Flyer goalie came in and finished the shutout.
seeding not set but the field is pretty much set (not all clinched, but the teams on the outside basically have to win their last five games to have a chance) Montreal first in division Toronto Ottawa Boston Washington Columbus PIttsburgh Rangers Chicago home ice through West Minnesota St. Louis Nashville Edmonton Anaheim San Jose Calgary So all four divisions got 4 teams in (no 3 for one vs. 5 for the other). Most noteworthy to miss the playoffs: LA Kings matchup that is very likely for the first round: Rangers at Washington rest are up in the air Coming off the season with no playoff teams, Canada got most of their teams in this year. Five.
You misspelled Montreal. The Rangers are nearly 100% guaranteed to play Montreal the first round. Washington is playing the second wild card team.
yeah, you're right I thought teams played within their own division but that's only second and third place
Kings needed to win their final five and have Nashville lose their last three to get in. No drama as the Kings managed to lose at home to Arizona to get eliminated.
Caps had a big win in Columbus yesterday. Caps now have a 5 point lead in the Metro with 8 points left up for grabs. So if they win 2 of their final 4, they will win the Metro, #1 seed, and likely President's Trophy. It sets up a very interesting Round 1 Match-Up between The Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets. Both are really good teams. The Caps would likely play Boston, Ottawa or Toronto, depending which ever one of them finishes with the worst record.
