but he's been playing LB a lot. Just seems we should consider more 4 man fronts or rotating. He was very disruptive We also have to consider (not meant as an excuse) if he were playing his position more, and contributing more, the off-field situation might be different. He's immature but I have to imagine his frustration (lack of respect) is compounding the problem
It doesn't matter how many picks we have if they turn out to be shet. But ya better odds or whatever.
He seemed to play well with Mo sitting out on certain plays. I can't explain why - does it have anything to do with Mo being hurt? Very likely. That may be the reason why Bowles decided to have Sheldon roam. Simply put, he's DE - play him at that position rather than having him roam all over the place like an OLB, dumbass maneuvering by Bowles, for sure. Wouldn't be too much to alternate with Mo on some plays by shifting Leo to his side?
Whetrer he stays or goes isn't the question anymore..the issue is we waited so long we won't get squat for him now.
That's BS. I most certainly do when they're on in my area. Even when they're not, I look for clips and game videos online and watch them as often as I can. But you know what, that's cool. I would have expected no less of you to totally dismiss someone else and their opinions because of some baseless charge that another poster made and he has no idea.
OK. I know I will get flamed for this but here it goes anyhow. The issue with Richardson IMHO is his instability away from the field and his inmaturity in the locker room. Not his playing ability. In fact as a player I feel he is more explosive, more dangerous and harder to contain than Mo. Put away his off the field dumb shit move and there is no way I would trade him and keep Mo. When he is in he gives it 100% and does not take plays off. Even in his stupid role as OLB. In short, I think he is better than Mo and with more untapped potential. Having said that last year was an abberation and starts with TB. He does not know how the manage personnel period, particularly with immaturity issues and did not control the locker room. Tell me this, why did the CS automatically assumed that Mo earned the spot, salary non withsatnding, and we needed to experiment in vain with the OLB position with Richardson. Mo did not impress much last year and we could have used more Richardson. I think the CS and GM fucked this up as much as Richardson. Now we are trying to mitigate our losses and trade the better player. To do so we have very little leverage this year and probably even less next year. So we will take a 4th and hope and pray he shines for another team which he will. Probably wishful thinking but I think if we could trade Mo at top value and deal with this jackass with an incentive loaded contract with an escape clause if he fucks up off the field we might be better off. If not, hell, if there is a position we know how to draft year in and year out...well DL is it.
Then your just fucking dumb. You can't discount the fact that Richardson has been out of position. The 2 seasons he was used property he out played Mo. You have to use all the facts to form an opinion. Yes what Mo did was just as bad. He almost killed his passengers and the innocent people in the vehicle he hit. Both were equally stupid. Move Mo over and let's see his stats.
I posted the exact same thing. Was replying to 101. He seems to feel Mo is the poster child for good behavior and leadership
Of course they aren't. That was my point. I was being sarcastic. You know Sheldon is gone either by trade this off season or he walks next year and we get nothing in return. If you bothered to read the post above you would have realized that.
Do you know the %s in terms of when Sheldon was a outside linebacker? I doubt you do and I highly believe he got plenty of pass rush opportunities. There is nothing more dumb then driving 130mph with illegal drugs in his car with a child? Both are bad but they aren't equally as bad. That's awful judgement. Maybe your judgement is just as bad then.
101 and Tony are on opposite ends of a spectrum of stupidity. I'd call you guys stupid, but NCJetsTard keeps running around and banging his head against common logic. And then there's Don, lmao. Cool thread bros.
Sarcasm doesn't always come across on the internet. I did read the post above and didn't detect that it was sarcasm. I rarely use it, and hence often don't recognize it.
Did anyone read TB's comments today regarding Mo? He said it often takes players with an injury like Mo's a year and-a-half to recover, and said he was a "warrior" for battling through it last season. I believe we have a couple of doctors/medical personnel who are posters. Is what Bowles said accurate? If so, we might have been too harsh on Mo.
I don't know the snap count by position. Why don't you Google it and get back to me. Last season was almost exclusively at Lb 2015 split DT/de/lb Playing at Dt Sheldon is a beast. Move Mo to LB and what kind of stats will he have? He would still have"plenty of pass rush opportunities" You have to look at the entire picture. Sheldon is more athletic and has a higher motor than Mo. How many rushing TD's does Mo have? Richardson has 2 as a RB. Does that mean anything? No it doesn't so it is useless in comparing the 2 side by side. Again there is no reason to embellish the facts or just make shit up because your trying to win an argument. There were no illegal drugs in the car. That's just you making up stupid shit. Both are bad, both just as stupid and both could have ended up tragically. My judgement must be distorted because I feel they were both fucking stupid where you see Mo's incident as no big deal , (fuck the people he hit and almost killed) and Richardson's incident being so much worse. In my opinion, human injury and property destruction are worse than speeding. But both equally unacceptable and fucking stupid.
I think Richardson is the better player but you may be right. Only time will tell. It doesn't really matter at this point. Richardson is going to be off the roster , either this season via trade or at the end of the season . The only thing we should be debating is if the reported offer of a 4th this year and higher conditional pick next year plus $ 8 million in cap space is better for the Jets then having Richardson on the roster, playing out of position in a meaningless season and getting nothing for him next year.
