My logic is that the biggest need on this team is to upgrade the ability to score points, meaning the offense. And there are a number of "O" players in this draft that could do that, but they won't last until the 2nd round, unlike Safeties and CBs. And the Jets have had a bias towards focusing on "D" picks in the early rounds despite them not winning anything, so why do you and others scream for selecting Adams or Hooker, or some other "D" guy with the most valuable pick? I have yet to be convinced that they will make a bigger impact than someone like Fournette or Howard, or even McCaffrey, Cook, or Williams. That's hardly "offense or bust".
That is why Bowels is kicking field goals down by 38 points. Get ready for a whole nother season of that explosiveness. That rangy free safety will change that and we'll only be down 31 points in the 4th quarter.
