Imo Trubisky is a bigger project than Mahomes. I think Mahomes is more "hit or miss" than Trubisky, assuming Trubisky goes to a team that lets him follow the Aaron Rodgers / Jimmy Garoppolo path to being a starter.

The Jets are already taking this approach with Hackenberg and are getting killed for it. Primarily because unlike the Packers and Patriots, we don't have a starter that is worth a shit.

Mahomes in the 2nd round is great value. Unfortunately value at QB rarely equals success.

I feel like the way things are going, the CB's like Lattimore will be on the board when the Jets pick at 6. Too many teams see the depth at CB and the question marks around Lattimore so he will fall out of top 5. I wouldnt be surprised if he drops into the 20's or out of first round entirely. I also see RB's drop as well, with guys like Tamara deemed good enough to grab in the 2nd or even 3rd. The Safeties seem like very safe picks (no pun intended.)

So I can easily see the Top 5 going: Garrett, Adams, Solomon Thomas, Hooker then the Jets will be looking at 2 of these 3:

    Lattimore
    Allen
    Fournette

One would hope then that the Jets would be able to trade down from here. God help us fans if they take either the CB or DL. If Fournette is taken at 5 here's hoping they decide to grab Howard (which I think would be a nice safe pick.) I really do think the Jets will pass on Lattimore too.

If the Browns want Trubisky, Mahomes or Watson they would arguably be better served by trading back into the 20s or simply waiting until their 2nd round pick. I have a hard time seeing any gain to the Browns in trading up to overdraft a QB that they would be reaching very early for at 12.

I still believe if the Browns take a QB on the 12 or higher it will be Kizer. I know his stock has dropped but he is still the 6'4" guy with good wheels and a great arm and like Bortles in 2014 he's going to be the first guy going.

Every QB that has played at Texas Tech has had ungodly stats. It is one of the biggest gimmick offenses of the last decade. Geno was perceived as a top 10 pick at the beginning of his senior year. I think what Geno did in college is more impressive. I am not saying Mahomes will not be a better QB, but in college Geno was better. I am not for sure how you can say the comparisons for Favre and Elway are legit... by that logic Mahomes should be the first QB off the board and Mahomes is the best QB to come out since Luck.

I hope the Browns do that. Takes the temptation away from the Jets.

I hope all the QB's evaporate in the 1st round before the Jets are forced to choose whether to take one but I doubt it will happen. Maybe one overall in the 1st round and one or two early in the 2nd.

I went with Malik Hooker. You hear stories about how he had 40 INT's in practice as a freshman and it just makes me believe he has all pro potential .

I would be happy with Fournette too. I wish Adams was a little bigger but his leadership ability is impressive. I think Mahomes goes late first. Steelers might take him.

LOL being a Jets fan will do that too you. But I was right on the recent Jets picks. Didn't like Lee and didn't like Hackenberg. I'll post my mock early next month and will include players I absolutely do not want on the Jets. I'll give you two right now Hooker and Lattimore.

I offer a comparison. Mahomes threw for as many yards in 3 years as Wilson threw in 4. 11,253 to Wilson's 11,720. 93 TD's in 3 years to Wilson's 109 in 4 years. Better rate also 152 to 147.

The only way we can draft DL is an edge guy maybe Barnett. But I just watch TBs presser at the coaches meeting and now I'm convinced we will draft one of the two safety's. Bowles talked about how important the saftey position is and the leadership he wants on this team

I wish the draft would get here already I change my mind on who I want every day

from the tape that ive seen, i believe he can

he sets a great edge, isnt fooled by read-options, and, most importantly, he can dip, rip, and turn the corner well

his combine numbers showed that he certainly has the athleticism for the position
