kelly is from buffalo area. he has bloodlines, an arm, and unlike petty , is used to playing in cold, rain, and snow. for a 5th or 6th round pick, or a comp pick, i would roll the dice on him.
Good call if there is one move I'd be good with, it is this. Kelly is a cocky SOB but he's got a lot of talent
The reason Orton had a worse record than Tebow was luck. When Orton was on the field, the offense put up more points per game (21) than when Tebow was playing (18.7). It just happened that the defense woke up at the same time as Fox changed QBs.
A head case who already tore his right ACL twice is not worth anything above a 7th round pick if you ask me. If they can get him with a late 7th or as a UDFA then bring him into camp and see if he can impress enough to jump Petty early, but if he doesn't impress early I would cut him quickly so as to not take reps away from Petty or Hack. I'd really be disinclined to even bother though. As far as bloodlines, Chris Simms, Matt Simms and Brian Griese are just a few of many with bloodlines but never really amounted to more than back ups.
Cam Newton has a rocket of an arm. When I look at Watson, he's McNabb but with a weaker arm and not as physically strong as McNabb. He's a winner though!
I see Watson as a poor mans Russell Wilson and he's the only QB I would take at 6. I like Trubisky and Mahomes with second round pick. Kaaya as a mid rounder. Not impressed with anyone else.
