Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Former Cowboys' CB Morris Claiborne is expected to sign with the Jets, per league source. CB market now moving. Hopefully we don't draft a CB now...
in terms of what to expect in dollar figures before the details come out, I read where Claiborne turned down a $5 mill per year offer from the Ravens because he wanted something closer to $7.5 mill
Carr signed with the Ravens. Thought Caliborne would go back to Dallas. Good move by the Jets. He looked like he was turning into a solid corner last year.
If he's healthy, he's a beast (see: last season). Unfortunately that doesn't happen all that often. I'm perfectly fine taking a shot on a talented guy like Claiborne as long as the contract makes sense. For what it's worth, my father-in-law is a diehard Cowboys fan and has been since childhood and he says the Cowboys fanbase isn't happy to lose Mo.
Hes good if he can stay healthy. We needed someone and this is prob the best we could get in Free Agency. Hes still young and had a great season last year hopefully he can build off of that.
definitely feels like an overpay is coming, but thats the cost of doing business when you aren't a top tier franchise. But if he's healthy then supposedly he is far better than anything we had last year (obviously)
Talented but injury-prone, solid signing if he stays healthy. I would take a 1 year prove it deal, he's going to get thrown on plenty. If he plays well and is able to keep up, he'll get a big deal [prob not from the Jets]
Mac at it again. He's really impressing me thus far. This slow measured approach to FA is exactly what is needed to get back on track. He's just in the last 2 years started to turn into the guy everyone thought he was going to be coming out of college. We may have just got him as he's peaking.
hopefully this isging means Macc isnt fixated on Lattimore....I REALLY want to see the Jets trade down
Does this mean no Lattimore or Hooker in round 1? I am not crazy about guys who come in injured from college.
Could this be Mac trying to build up the offense so we can draft offense in the first? Maybe Mac feels Marcus or Burris can fill that other corner spot so we can go for Foster/Adams/Hooker? This team doesnt look as terrible on paper to me anymore. Either a bad or good thing depending on if no qb pans out and we win ourselfs out of a top qb pick.
