The Jets will not field a team in 2017 and will come back as an expansion team in 2018 with the first overall pick.
While I completely believe this is speculation and has no legs from any "legitimate sources" it's intriguing. I posted in another thread that I wanted additional picks but now I am back peddling a bit. I have spent the past hour researching and watching film on McCarron and now it has me curious. He has way better potential in my opinion than Jimmy G. He was a 2 time national championship player, 3 year starter at Alabama college stud. He's a gunslinger. 6 TD's 2 picks as a starter but really made some great plays and almost led the Bengals to a huge playoff comeback against Pittsburg. He had 2 TDs and no picks against the 2015 Broncos. Just saying if we were only going to get a 3rd for Richardson then why not trade him for McCarron and let the 3 QBs battle, if McCarron wins play him and if he sucks then we have our QB in the draft in 2018.
This one may be realistic. Cincy has no problem having malcontent players and we have a need for camp competition for our two young qbs. We can dump Sheldons salary, get our 3rd qb for the year and hopefully pick up a pick along the way, maybe we will see a switch from our 6th round pick for their fourth rounder.
if nothin else he's got a tremendously hot wife and the camera crew would likely give us a glimpse each game.
Yes....Yes he does. I remember some broadcaster drooling over her almost inappropriately during a Bama game.
his mom is pretty hot too LOL. That clip has got to be one of the best Alabama recruiting pitches there is btw.
If he was really the answer why in the world wouldn't Cincy be keeping him for themselves? Andy Dalton isn't exactly Joe Montana. That said if we can get a pick along w. him & rid ourselves of Sheldon...there are worse things than a 3 way battle of youngsters before coming to the realization that we still have no QB right in time for 2018 draft
If the Bengals were willing to do it I think it would be a great trade for us. We are probably trading Richardson for a 3rd rounder. To get a qb who could start and a 5th or 6th pick. The Bengals get a starting d-end and the Jets get a qb who has a year on his contract with the potential to be the long term answer and if he doesn't we cut bait. A third round pick doesn't always become a starter. McCarron would be a starter. I'd be for the trade.
I would have no problem with this, other than the point Kurt made that why would Cincy part with him? He looks like a promising QB that put up decent numbers when asked and Dalton is a bit shaky.. Also, is there so much of a difference between McCarron and Foles? Foles is 2 years older, but is more established and had a few bad years and a very good one.
