Siemian had himself a dandy of a come from behind victory as well in college. 2014 -Northwestern on the road against #15 Notre Dame, down 40-29 with 6 minutes to play. Siemian leads a TD drive with 2 point conversion, then a FG drive with no timeouts to tie it. Northwestern won 43-40 in OT
Never was a fan, no matter how much they tried to hype him up. That being said.... Im not sold on Petty at all. He needs to show a lot more, because he looked lost. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
There just isnt anything there, and what we have on the roster......is that bad. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Isn't it possible that they just want a veteran backup for the young guys? That Hack will go into TC as the starter and we just need a 3rd QB to push him and mentor? Not to mention who exactly told the reporters that the Jets were interested in any of these guys? Noone knows if they really looked at a single guy you mentioned. Just "reports", another word for "fodder" or frankly "BS"
It's looking more likely this is one of two scenarios. Either they are more comfortable going into the season with Hack as the QB than most believe. Or they recognize the opportunity in front of them and really like one of these QBs in the draft and think they can get him. I hope it's the second scenario but can live with the first. If it is Hack, get him his new bff OJ Howard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This would be a very good pick up for the Jets. He's young, accurate and doesn't make a lot of mental mistakes. I watched Denver games last year and that offensive line was putrid (far worse than he Jets).
If Hack is our FQB (which contrary to popular belief I think he can be) Howard in the first, Lamp in the 2nd and dare I say Mixon in the 3rd and this offense is legit.
I believe it's number 2....Drafting a QB high and grabbing a vet backup....4 go into camp best player starts with one odd man out and cut.... Likely petty.
At least he's a young guy w. some starting experience we can let compete w. Petty & Hack. I'm also willing to bet he has a pretty cap friendly salary right about now. Not too keen on giving up any draft picks for him though..
When Mac said he wanted to build through the draft, I didn't think he meant helping other teams by trading away picks.
Wikipedia will enlighten you a lot, Jethro. Not even close. P.S. "Unbelievable" talent? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_Michigan_Wolverines_football_team#Draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_Michigan_Wolverines_football_team#1999_team_players_in_the_NFL Aaron Shea is the only draftee in 1999 - that's the lone offensive player other than Brady himself. Unbelievable, eh? P.S. Siemian's team had 10+ wins only once. [Gator bowl - Okay.] Brady in 1998 and 1999 led the team to 10-3 and 10-2, and led to two bowl wins [Citrus Bowl in 1998 and Orange Bowl in 1999]
Just because we've been less successful doesn't mean that stat line is anything to get excited about. Mediocrity is mediocrity even in the face of ineptitude.
I mean the only fact that matters is that Siemian went 7 TDs to 11 INTs as a senior. Get the fuck out of here lol.
