Thursday/Friday---hit Sunday monday miss wednesday possible huge hit Saturday /St Paddys day possible huge hit we shall see,,,ps bundle up next 2 weeks aint warm
Euro currently on board for Thursday nite,,,,,Im curious how much temps effect this---looks like 1-3 for the city and 2-4 or 3-5 by us here in the styx------really watching next midweek---thoughts ?
ok, paging mr @jaywayne12 , mr jaywayne please pick up the white courtesy phone. wow, models today are very snowy. friday event is looking more and more likely, not a big event but i think friday rush hour will be less than fun. nyc, north jersey all of ct in the 3-6" range. central jersey, south jersey dusting to an 1" @Greenday4537 probably not much, rain turning to snow but i think the grounds too warm for any accumulation. then winter is back cold and windy for the weekend and all eyes on tuesday/wednesday with a curtain call on friday? 18z gfs snow map puts 20" of snow in nyc over the next 10 days. thats the friday event and the 2 possibles next week. lots to look at between now and then. hope jay pops in this weekend as things become more clear.
I can send up the bat signal ,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe the cape crusader will show up,,,,I am heading to the roof now to turn the bat floodlight on !
speaking of bat signals, how does gotham signal batman during the day? nam doesn't like us for friday c, not sure what to make of it.
C ommissioner Gordon just lifted the glass cover off the Bat phone , picked that bad boy up and it always rang in the bat cave,,,sometimes Alfred answered ------gonna look now and see whats up with this NAM,,,might be time to look at short range Models anyhows,,,for Thursday nite Friday am
00z looks much better. just checked the TWC long range and they are already calling 2-6"for tuesday/wednesday. thats a lot for them a week out.
Hearing 1-3 or 3-6 for tomorrow. How are we looking? I travel from Bergen county to Hudson county tomorrow morning so was curious if I should give myself some extra time or is it just going to be a sprinkle
Blah. This is not what I wanted to hear. Thank you for the info. I trust all of you guys here way more than a local weather man.
So true I can't say how many times Jay and FJF has saved my life on my business trips. Once, thanks to Jay, I was able to change my flight and avoided being stuck in Memphis for 4 days before a big storm.
Brook I remember when you changed you flight ! Ps the local guys , att least I believe do not have a handle on this , CH2 John Elliot saying 1-3 in the city , and a little more North n West--------->I have not looked at morning models but if the what they showed last night is still there Im with FJAYF and say some areas on EASTERN LI get over 6 same for possibly us in the styx------>unless the warm ground and temps /snow fall rate keep the accumulations down but I dont think they will maybe FJAY Chimes in-----I am going to look at the latest shortly EDIT HERE-----> to me nothings changed since last night , stay the course . ps if you get a winter storm advisory or warning depends where u live but this could surprise many time will tell
An advisory was issued here in the hudson valley. Twc upped their prediction to 2-6. tv guys are betting on some mixing issues for NYC. warm grounds will hurt the totals some but i feel safe with the 3-6
CBG sending texts is his way of sending signals...lol. OH BOY. Well the long term models a few weeks showed blocking and activity but this winter? How could you believe that crap. Well...the truth? I havent really looked at it much...just saw the CMC model moved from out to sea to on the coast sooooo.....yeah....this will have everyones attention. Potential blizzard as it explodes off the Jersey coast. All I can say is tonight...will check it...but you guys know what you are doing now.....there are no trends of the winter to discuss so this will be a really tough call. The one thing that could prevent this from happening is the ole suppression word where those to the south actually get the storm...DC ETC...and then explodes again and gives the cape a run. Keep checking the models...check the EURO at around 1pm...and the GFS at around 430pm and see if there is any common ground. Too far away to much stock in models but they are trending to something a bit rare considering this winter. Payback is a bitch. Oh..its 73 and sunny here.
ALERT THE MEDIA we have a Jayster sighting ! Thanks for the input my brother and Im glad you still have the same # lol
You are the best cbg. Will try my best this weekend for input. We are looking for trends...and models that want to keep this storm south. Cant be ruled out. Will be a good track. See there are several on the horizon starting with tonight/tomorrow. Nice one...but that second one needs to be watched real carefully.
Welcome back jay. does the weekend storm in dc and south help keep the next one north? i ask because Bernie rayno said this friday storm doesn't clear fast enough to let the weekend storm come north.
see fjf..thats why i shouldnt comment. We down here are going to get a rainstorm. YOU ARE CORRECT. Monday night to maybe Wednesday morning for you guys. Nice pick up. On Sunday down here, Jacksonville NC which is about 25 miles northwest from me will get a wintry mix with that storm....still rain on the beach here. That 2nd storm? REALLY watch that one sir.
so, snow starting for most around 1-2am should go through the lunch hour. give yourself more time in the a.m rush. solid 3" for the region with maybe 5-6 for some. mostly north west jersey into pa. now the tuesday/wednesday which really could be monday night thru early wednesday a.m.is really looking like something. still way out so we will see but right now TWC is already buying in with a 10-16" for my area. interesting week ahead of us. hope jay sticks around
