Respect. We definitely need a 3rd QB on the roster in case of injury and competition is always good. McCown probably would be a better option / better professional. I want to see what we have in Hack this year also. McCown holds the clipboard.

Bringing Geno back will just cause agita for the fan base, the team and Geno. If the Jets had the talent in place to maybe give him a chance to succeed, assuming that he conquered the demons that have prevented that in the past, then it might be worthwhile but the team is a full year out from that position.

Let the young guys take their lumps and see if either of them has what it takes. Draft another QB late or sign a vet journeyman to flesh out the depth chart and just have what we have for a change.

Geno's not a bad guy but he's on the wrong side of the fan base right now and it's unlikely he can turn that around with the Jets 2017 roster.

No he didn't throw the pick away.

He drafted a QB to develop and evaluate. 2017 is the year to do it.
If pans out - good. If not - next one in the wings.

Priceless.....I put together a 10 minute montage on all Geno TO and I was reported for being offensive and almost got banned.

What happens if the kid from USC stays for his junior year? Or what happens if the Jets win 3 games next year but the Browns win 2?

People don't realize this past Jets team was terrible with a very hard schedule and they're still picking 6th. Not as easy to get that first pick as many seem to think.

Get the QB when you have the chance.

Let's not forget guys, Mac has no say in who starts, some guys want another QB taken, but TB is in complete control of who plays.

I think we all understand the jets are aiming for 2018. I don't think any realistic fan or jets management expects us to compete for anything other then the #1 pick, which we will still lose out on to Cleveland. I expect a top 3 pick next year and for us to compete in 2018.

I would like to believe this but as other people stated there will be a weaker schedule in 2017 and there's no way the D plays as bad, but the O may play worse (if that's possible).

That being said, as bad as we were it really takes quite an effort to suck that bad.

3 time Heisman Trophy Finalist and 1 time Heisman Trophy Winner, Sporting News Player of the Year, BCS Champion, SEC Champion, and 1st team All American Tim Tebow. How'd all that winning work out for him?

Wrote that ^ up and saw Brad already gave the same reply

Tebow also beat an Oklahoma team, that had 4 1st rounders, for the BCS Championship

A high 1st rounder for a QB that wouldn't be able to start right away is too high a pick.

If this is a tank season, you might as well roll the dice with these two.

If Manziel has truly cleaned up, I would 110% take him over Hoyer. Manziel's threw 300 yard games with Cleveland with Gordon suspended and no Pryor......he threw the ball to Gabriel, Andrew Hawkins and a bunch of no names.

Hoyer couldn't wipe Manziel's jockstrap back in Cleveland.

Who knows where they'll come from..... did you think we'd win 10 games 2 years ago? Or 5 this year after 10 the year before? Looking at schedules is pointless right now, because every single team will look different by the time we actually have to play them..... is that simple enough to understand for you?

    Bad choice imo

    Take a look at 2017 sched..I don't see 2 wins there

Plus 2018 has TWO excellent QBS in Rosen AND Darnold

Top 3 pick does the trick

A split with buffalo and Miami would get us 2...... Cleveland, Jacksonville, the saints, San Diego, and Carolina are all winnable...... the broncos if the don't fix their line/QB could be much worse than anyone anticipates...... there's your 6-8

    Are you kidding?

Hack is our QB or the back up to Petty ...plus entire new and CS...all you have is an aging DL...plus a terrible HC/DC

Saints San Diego And Carolina winnable...really?

Buffalo beat our ass and has Taylor back, Miami a beast of a new team with Tannyhill playin well

We beat the Broncos?? Wont even address that one

Sorry ..I have to get back to reality

Jax and Cleve are your 2 wins ...maybe
