No, the President has to go through FISA for any tap. And if he asked for a tap and got it, that was because FISA found probable cause that Trump was colluding with the Russians, so Trump is screwed either way. Ron
And this is why he wants his buddy Jeff Sessions to be his attorney general: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/03/13/donald-trumps-worst-deal Donald Trump’s Worst Deal The President helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. "But the Mammadov family, in addition to its reputation for corruption, has a troubling connection that any proper risk assessment should have unearthed: for years, it has been financially entangled with an Iranian family tied to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the ideologically driven military force. In 2008, the year that the tower was announced, Ziya Mammadov, in his role as Transportation Minister, awarded a series of multimillion-dollar contracts to Azarpassillo, an Iranian construction company. Keyumars Darvishi, its chairman, fought in the Iran-Iraq War. After the war, he became the head of Raman, an Iranian construction firm that is controlled by the Revolutionary Guard. The U.S. government has regularly accused the Guard of criminal activity, including drug trafficking, sponsoring terrorism abroad, and money laundering. Reuters recently reported that the Trump Administration was poised to officially condemn the Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization." Ron
They need to go through a FISA court if any of the parties are a U.S. citizen but if all parties involved are foreign powers they do not need to go through FISA. Even though this instance with Trump, if it truly happened, would have required FISA approval, other instances under Obama, where they did not get a court order, American citizens were wiretapped. Chapter 36 of Title 50 of the US Code *War and National Defense", Subchapter 1, Section 1802: (1) Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that— (A) the electronic surveillance is solely directed at— (i) the acquisition of the contents of communications transmitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; or (ii) the acquisition of technical intelligence, other than the spoken communications of individuals, from property or premises under the open and exclusive control of a foreign power, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; (B) there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party; and (C) the proposed minimization procedures with respect to such surveillance meet the definition of minimization procedures under section 1801(h) of this title; and if the Attorney General reports such minimization procedures and any changes thereto to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at least thirty days prior to their effective date, unless the Attorney General determines immediate action is required and notifies the committees immediately of such minimization procedures and the reason for their becoming effective immediately.
Most recent double standards and just brainwashed logic. You have immediately bought into the wiretapping, without any credible evidence except a raving president and radio host while multiple government organizations and officials (in office and retired) calling out the accusations.. Yet it's fake... Hell, it's not just fake, but the Democrats have something to hide because they don't want the investigation (not written anywhere, did Trump even say this?) and they are working undercover in the White House AS WE WRITE IN THIS THREAD to attack our president from within! WOW. Funny how leaks are the worst thing in the world all of a sudden, I am sure during election year 9 out of every 10 posts had to do with Hillary leaked emails.. And I won't accept "Hillary's was acceptable because it was not done by the government or an American." It's because it is happening to Trump and not Hillary, and it's brainwashed thinking because you are trying to spin this crazy "Democratic mole in the White House" theory that once again deflects all blame from your guy and paints him as a billionaire presidential victim. What's worse, a president who can't keep his own team from stabbing him in the back or someone who used a private email server? I choose the former. Who does this leaker work for, and are they paid? And no, I don't count an allegation because an insane sociopath is trying to cover his own tracks from the looks of it. It's nuts, because there are millions of people who are willing to think like this for Trump, and it's probably the most frightening thing of it all.
In honor of King Trump signing the new Travel Ban that will save us from the MooseLamb hordes storming our shores to kill us and destroy our country !! By the numbers: (Not using Betty Devos Math or Kellyanne alternative statistics..) I feel soooo much safer now! GBDT!
We should be lettin em in, drop care packages instead of bombs on Syria and let the Russians be the bad guys in the M.E. for once. We really screwed that up
Its gonna have an impact on everyone, not just republicans. Its just that the " 1 out of 3 Americans don't realize that the ACA is Obamacare" applies mostly to republicans. This should be interesting for them. Might see some heads explode. Einhorn is Finkle??? Finkle is Einhorn!!!!
WikiLeaks publish 1000s of what it says are CIA documents PARIS — WikiLeaks has published thousands of documents that it says come from the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence, a dramatic release that appears to give an eye-opening look at the intimate details of the agency's cyberespionage effort. The dump could not immediately be authenticated by The Associated Press and the CIA did not return repeated messages seeking comment, but WikiLeaks has a long track record of releasing top secret government documents. One expert who examined the dump, Rendition Infosec founder Jake Williams, told the AP it appeared legitimate. If it does prove legitimate, the dump will represent yet another catastrophic breach for the U.S. intelligence community at the hands of WikiLeaks and its allies, which have repeatedly humbled Washington with the mass release of classified material.
Is that jihadists figure at the top the number "11" or a depiction of the (former) Twin Towers? And as for the "11,737 getting shot by a American," just amend the ban and shut down O'Hare and Midway.. : )
At the very least, lets keep the mentally ill from owning firearms? Either that or open a new manufacturing sector..Designer bulletproof vests. And why isn't Saudi Arabia and Egypt on the shit list? That number 11 is simply an 11. Don't go all Mark Levin on me...
If the ACA benefited Dems. significantly more than Reps., how does it apply mostly to Reps.? In the last 2 years alone the number of adult Dems. without health insurance dropped from about 23% to about 11% while for Reps. it went from about 16% to 14%. Unless you are trying to say that more Reps. just don't know the ACA is Obamacare, I'd be interested to see where you came up with that stat. Like with most things, the government getting involved is the root cause of most of the problems. I'm not focusing on the ACA, it's the lengthy and expensive process to approve new drugs, over-regulating where and who can open new healthcare facilities, setting prices for procedures that make it more cost effective for healthcare facilities to do what is quick and cheap rather than what is best for the patient. Sure there maybe needs to be some minimal government oversight and I am not saying to get rid of Medicaid and Medicare but the government has been involved with too much for too long.
The new Muslim ban lets in Iraqi immigrants and eases restructions on Syrian ones. Meanwhile ISIS stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Mind = blown.
You'd have a case if the ban applied to Saudi Arabia which is where 15/19 of the 9/11 attackers were from. But of course we can't ban them because Trump does business there.
Not just Trump.. So many American businesses go thru SA that pissing off the Saudi Royals simply isn't practical..Too much cash on the line there.. However, shitting on non oil producing MooseLamb countries and our old boogeyman Iran serves up a nice plate of red meat to those hatin patriots Trump loves to wipe his ass with.
With life or death decisions to be made, I would think so. My guess is you had no problem getting coverage before ACA. Wasn't so easy for 20 million other Americans and will be just as hard after this bogus repeal coming...
