Do you want to rethink that comment in bold again? I'm pretty sure a wide receivers job is to catch balls. Jerry Rice isn't in the HOF because of his blocking. We have fast receivers already on the roster in D. Smith. How is he working out? I'm talking about players who already have a history in the NFL

I don't get the mentality we are good at wr. We know decker isn't a true number one, enunwa is good but not great, Anderson tbd. Peake who the hell knows.

We need a number one. Not saying it's Ross per say, but it's also not anyone on the roster.

Peake definitely has the tools to become a #1.

Not saying he's not worthy of the #6 pick but I'm not doing backflips just because of his 40 time.
We've got 2 speedsters on our roster now, assuming Smith comes back healthy next season...I'd rather Williams over Ross.

There's nothing production wise to suggest that. Yes I agree and I like him. But there is no way around we don't have a number one or an emerging number one on the roster.

With Marshall on the field, no one else had a chance to play #1. Also, I think they wanted to give Peake some extra rest to avoid injury.

  8. He is very explosive & dynamic. Hard to argue against adding a player w. his ability. Peake/Anderson/Enunwa is a start...you add this guy to the fold & we're on our way to building a real offense. That said..I still think I'd rather have OJ Howard..

No offense but I hate that argument. "No need adding receivers if you don't have a QB" makes no sense. If anything you want to stock the skill positions to make up for your deficiency at QB. You really don't need to look any further than Fitz in 2015. The offense would have been a disaster without the weapons we had at WR.

Hey don't forget Staten Island's own Mike Siani. Don't think he was that fast either, but had great hands.

The Jets have alot of potential solutions at WR already on the roster:
    Quincy Enunwa
    Robbie Anderson
    Jalin Marshall
    Charone Peake
    Devin Smith

If they think Ross or one of the other guys is elite, fine. But they have some promising young talent already.

I think our new offensive coordinator will asses their potential. He has a better record of developing wide receivers. The Saints are loaded with them and looking to trade one of their best.

I actually think that a guy like Mike Williams could be picked. I like Enunwa, but I just am not sure he is a true #1.

That's what John Idzik thought when he drafted Calvin Pryor over Brandin Cooks. How did that work out?

Drafting a midget WR at 6 because he ran a good 40 is the definition of draft stupid.

Ross isn't just fast, he's a helluva receiver.

Would be great to have him but not something we need in the 1st. Which is where he will end up going.

I think we very much need a receiver in the first. We don't have a number one or a prospective number one on the roster.

First round better be OL or WR
