How in the world is that like drafting another DL? Haven't used a first round pick on a WR since Santana Moss. I'm not for Ross in the first but Williams and Davis should be on our short list.
If we cut Decker loose a #1 WR could be one of our top priorities. Another WR I really like is Zay Jones. He may have moved his way up into the second round with his combine performance.
Holy Speedy Gonzalez Batman! So JR Ewings son John Ross grew to be playing playing NFL Football? Whut?
If the scouting report there is right he's going to get pressed non-stop early in his career. Can he handle the physical play?
I want Chris Godwin if the Jets trade down. He just ran a 4.42, is familiar with Hack, and can go get better than Mike Williams.
How about this for a WR. All reports are saying saints have 5 suitors for Cooks. Patriots are the latest, apparently offered their 32nd. The fifth team apparently is trying to include a D player.....
Because B. Marshall is gone, Decker may be too, and the Jets need a #1 WR for whomever their QB will be.
Why would the Saints even be thinking about trading Brandin Cooks? They're insane if they are, but if they are, I'd trade Richardson to them for Cooks in a NY minute!!!!
"One of the unnamed franchises is hoping to give the Saints some defensive help to acquire the elusive wideout." https://www.profootballrumors.com/2017/03/patriots-offer-first-round-pick-for-brandin-cooks
He was projected to go in the first round before he ran the 40. Just because Johnny Lam Jones couldn't catch does not mean that his problems have anything to do with anything. Comparing a fast prospect at any position to a fast player that busted is a lazy and useless comparison unless you have a specific problem with the prospect or his game. His size and injury history are the only problems I can see.
Because wasting a first pick on a Wr would be ridiculous, considering that's not a need for a team with drastic holes everywhere, but the DL and WR, Decker Anderson Peake and Enumwa, there is absolutely no reason in the world to ever consider drafting a WR with what we already have.
Remember when this was how Oakland used to draft? Remember how they sucked every year they did it? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Do you mean when they won three Super Bowls with Stabler and Plunkett throwing to those fast receivers they had? Do you mean the two years in a row that they knocked us out of the playoffs with Tim Brown and their other speedy receivers?
The Raiders haven't won a Super Bowl in my lifetime. I mean, the running joke of picking whoever the fastest person in the draft didn't come out of nowhere. McFadden? 4.33 Heyward-Bey? 4.30 Russell? Obsession with a guy who can throw deep but that was about it. Huff? 4.34 (I'll grant he was good in college but still, compared to the other DBs drafted in the first? Ouch.) Washington? 4.29 It wasn't until 2013 that they stopped sucking at drafting and it's not shocking they are good now.
Cmon James, before last year you know it was a long time before the Raiders had any success, something like 12 years. I'm glad they are doing well, the AFC is better when the Raiders are successful.
No one ever said Fred Belitnikoff was fast. They used a sundial to time him. But Clift Branch was very fast.
